A little hair coloring tutorial because someone on Deviantart asked me how I color hair! I’m by no means great at coloring hair or explaining how I do it, but I hope this is helpful!

simple shading minitut
Lay your flats down
Clip a NORMAL layer on top of it, fill with white.
Using your favorite blending brush, color in the shading. It’s helpful to isolate the shadows without getting distracted by the flats.
Change the layer settings to MULTIPLY
Tada!! Be sure to change up your shading color depending on the base color, and flip back and for regularly. You can finish it this way or merge the layers together and render the shading further!
@parrotassbutt , for u bro!
found out that u can use a multiply layer to colour trad sketches and im soooooo happy omg no more tracing my sketches
I feel a bit ridiculous for this but I,m just trying out the Multiply layer function for the first time and
This feels like sorcery.
I was revisiting this old unfinished piece and was messing around with a lot of functions in Clip Studio I've never tried out before. When I got to the multiply layer... let's just say I could see why it's so popular to use.
I normally have a horrible eye when it comes to colors, and I just can't express how strange it is seeing something I did look so cohesive. It's absolutely wild to me.
I am flabbergasted
Just a mutt and his dude.
Used dizzyclowns’s set of palettes to start. Inspired by Toonimated’s work.
