Right, so Paige, or @ghostofaformerself, she’s one of my beaus. My Canadian collective. I have a bunch of y’all and I love y’all lots. I met Paige because of you, and I don’t remember the circumstances. I do know if we get all three of us together, CS is going to find a reason to be on the other side of the continent. We are apparently terrifying. But Paige, this bitch right here, I don’t have words. well, I do, but I’m too tired to remember what those words are. I love her, to pieces, but god you guys make me feel old as dirt. Paige is the best OC on tumblr(I’m biased, very very biased) and our AUs give me life. So much gay in two tiny little ladies. But yes, paige is love, paige is life. So are you. And so are a few other people. I should do a promo, someone remind me to do a random promo tomorrow, seriously. I need to do that.

Natasha, not Natalia, not any other name she had gone by, no, Natasha fucking Romanoff was regretting defecting. Well, it hadn’t been so much a defection as being picked up off the streets like some stray. Granted, her life before had been easier. With the Red Room, she was taken care of. Didn’t have to worry about anything. She was a re-used palette, with new paint each time. Then, one her own, her only drive had been survival. There really hadn’t been a place for personality, or wants. Just needs, the basics. She had been living like a wild animal, in the middle of a crowded city. But it had still been easier. This whole personality thing was foreign, and new, and frankly, terrifying.

It didn’t help that nearly every agent in the Triskelion avoided her, or went out of their way to make her live that much more unpleasant. It was like she had been dropped into a nest of vipers, and her only lifeline was away on missions more often than he was on base. She was fairly sure even the medics hated her. The scientists thought of her as some lab experiment, she knew that look in their eyes. It was familiar, at least, but sticking around there got her shooed out more often than not.

So she did what she knew. She trained, she ate, and she slept. And every few days she showed up like a good little solider so scientists could mess around in her head. It was boring, and dull, and the closest thing to home she could construct here. There were a few people who took interest in her, but they were far too important for her to seek out for company. In the Red Room, she was never alone. Even here, there were people, but no one she could just ... exist around. She wanted company, even if she couldn’t understand her sudden need for human contact.
