So...I couldn't sleep last night. I suck at sleeping. Finally gave up around 5 am and turned on my light to see both cats staring expectantly at me from opposite corners of my room.
Weird, but whatever. I got out of bed and immediately stepped on something exceedingly... Funky
It was...a thoroughly mummified frog. That had definitely not been there when i went to bed. I looked at the cats. 'What? How? Why? Um...thank you for the mummy of the Great Pharaoah Hoppinamun. A royal gift indeed.'
I couldn't figure out what to do with it, so I left it on my husband's keyboard so he could share in this precious and boggling event.

Anyways, I have no idea what to do with him. I don't have any experience in drying specimens but he's pretty dried out already. Does anyone have any advice? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

the mummified frog RETURNED
we found it on the grass in front of the cat run, a little more shrivelled and dessicated, the skin a little more tattered with more bones showing through and the top of the skull slightly askew, but there it was.
we’re assuming that the foxes brought it out of the undergrowth but?? honestly?? we might just have an undead frog in the garden.
