So today is a sad day! I'm taking out the last of the milk I expressed from the freezer to defrost to give Freya her last ever feed of mumma milk this evening. Freya stopped being interested in me feeding her back in October, and liked the independence of holding her own bottle and saw breast feeding time as a time to try and have a conversation with me instead of feeding. I thought I would be really sad, but instead I was proud of myself to make it to 4 months combi feeding, because when she got diagnosed as jaundiced and we had to introduce formula I was worried that would mean she would only want the bottle, but we had a feeding journey of breast feeding, expressing and formula feeding. I had planned on saving what I had frozen to use if she got a cold, but she has been relatively healthy all winter so far (despite teething symptoms).
