College AU MUN delegates Lams where they meet because none of them have a delegation to go with so the hosting Organization puts them together...or even better, John goes to a MUN with his private elitist college friends and classmates as the US in EcoSoc and Hamilton goes with a bunch of randoms and gets to be China in the same organism and they become rivals, and that's how they meet. AND THEN they become codelegates in another MUN by pure luck...thinking thoughts...

JASIPER MUN AU

watch me cook up a jason grace piper mclean (featuring everyone else) model united nations au [fire emoji]. As someone who does MUNs on a daily, this AU has been creeping in the back of my head and I just NEEEEDD to write something about it... and why not.. my overhated faves.. jiper.. jasper.. jasiper.. lighting mcqueen.. whatever their shipname is.. my beloveds.. SO NOW IM GONNA RANT ABT THE PLOT AND THE IDEAD I HAVE BECAUSE IT AINT FINAL

FOR CONTEXT; what is an MUN?

MUN, short for Model United Nations, is essentially like a roleplay of sorts, but academic!! So basically it's competition where pretend to be diplomats (delegates) from different countries and discuss real-world problems. It is based on the real United Nations, where leaders from around the world meet to solve global issues like climate change, war, or poverty. Typically in MUN, each student is given a country to represent. They must learn what that country believes or wants, and then speak and act like they are a real representative of that country. For example, if you are assigned to represent Japan, you have to understand Japan’s opinions and policies, even if they are different from your own. And they refer to themselves in third person since their like speaking for a country (We.., Japan.., The delegate of Japan believes like that). Delegates give speeches, debate, and work together to find solutions to the issue being discussed. They write documents called "resolutions" that list their ideas for solving the problem. Then, everyone votes to decide which ideas should be accepted.

So first and foremost one thing that I want to make consistent between all of these plots is that Piper has never done an MUN before, but she has done like debate comps and all that stuff, so she's like amazing at delivering speeches during comses. Meanwhile Jason has been in the MUN circuit for awhile, like he's experienced and all of that stuff.

O2.

THIS ONE I REALLY LOOVEE. Piper totally like, I dont want to be here, what in the world is a position paper, but she's doing it because Annabeth made her. Annabeth is going to be chairing, and basically begged Piper to join. And Piper ended up getting allocated to the council where annabeth was chairing. So yeah so d-day comes. And Annabeth is head chair and guesss who her co-chair is, It's Jason. Jason Grace is her co-chair.

And basically during break she goes to annabeth and is like, "This is freaking stressful what" And Jason who's sitting next Annabeth, is like "Oh no you did really good! Just make sure to not use personal prounouns." AND YEEAAAHHH Having MUN crushes are so common, like, 'weekend crushes' as MUNers call it. And basically after day 1 is over, Piper and Annabeth head back. and Piper is like, "Your co-chair? Jason right?" and Annabeth is like "oo.. Yeah I've seen him in a bunch of MUN's before, everyone in the MUN circuit knows eachother. Jason's really good"

and then annabeth is just like OOO JASON, do you think he's cute? He's goodlooking though, the last time we were in a comses together the gossip box was filled with people hitting on him. AND YEAH

In the end, piper wins honorable mention, Jason and Annabeth hands her her rewards. Then it's social night, Jason and Piper talk, Jason ask for piper number than boOOM.

"I told them we met at an MUN" "Oh like you were in one delegation" "He was the Chair in my first ever MUN #holyfricknairball"

THIS ONE THEIR LIKE FROM DIFFERENT DELEGATIONS, Piper in her own delegation with the other CHB kids, pulled into the MUN world because they said debate and MUN are similar (they lied). MEanwhile Jason with the CJ delegation, crisp in his suit. And instead of Jason being the chair they compete againts eachother. I think it would be funny if their representing opposing countries (eg. USA and China), and there like constantly at eachothers throat during debate. but then during breaks their laughing and totally getting along

so yeah.. this is all i have for now.. i love mun guys.. i love jason and piper

I just realised that I have no overarching idea for an ending to the OG!Elias au other than OG!Elias ending up happy with Distorted!Michael and supporting it and Distorted!Helen.

Dude walked away from being possessed by the avatar of the eye to being able to walk through the Spiral unscathed bc of how much its Avatars like him.

Publicity/Design - Yukimura

Yukimura’s the obvious choice for Sec-Gen because of his leadership skills and natural charisma, but I can see Yukimura wanting to enjoy himself and have fun designing logos. His ideas turn out super aesthetic and stylish. He’s also the one managing social media, so he reaches a lot of potential participants and enjoys talking to them. Finally, although Yukimura’s official position is Publicity/Design, he dabbles in a bit of everything because he’s genuinely interested in what everyone else does. 

Academics - Sanada, Marui

Academics is arguably the toughest, most content-based job and both have their own takes on this. Sanada reads a few sources extensively and get the big picture first, while Marui collects short articles from different perspectives and slots things together from the details. 

They’re both very driven and motivated. Marui is the type who spends a weekend heavily researching a topic so come Monday, he can casually flex his knowledge and make it look effortless and genius. On the other hand, Sanada spreads his research load over a few more days with a schedule planned out. 

Everyone’s surprised at how well they end up working together. Marui helps diffuse tension when Sanada’s holding people to rigorous standards. Sanada reminds Marui to look at the larger picture and not get bogged down in details. Sanada also has an industrial-strength plagiarism checker program he uses liberally.

Logistics/Finance - Jackal

Jackal is 101% the reason why the team doesn’t collapse mid-conference. Logistics and Finance is not a flashy job, but everyone relies on and trusts Jackal. He does his best to manage the budget even with unreasonable requests (Marui and Kirihara’s suggestions for food). Jackal has the patience of a saint tbh. Although he never shows it, he’s proud of his work and is determined to make the conference amazing.

Outreach/Public Relations - Yagyuu

He seems like the type, doesn’t he? Yagyuu has a lot of MUN acquaintances, so he helps spread the word. But his email replies to some people can get passive-aggressive when he's annoyed. He also helps get sponsorships.

Special Projects/Crisis - Niou 

Like Yukimura, Niou also helps everyone (especially Yagyuu, because their work overlaps). Special projects are his niche - Niou would have way too much fun recruiting political actors. He comes up with very creative crisis councils that make the conference interesting. ‘Interesting’ usually means more stressful for the delegates, but come on, this is Rikkai.

Secretary-General - Yanagi

(No, I’m not biased at all.) Yanagi applied for Academics, so getting Sec-Gen was not something his data predicted. With Yukimura and Sanada’s help, he manages to guide the team, set deadlines, and handle communication. He’s good enough with academics and dealing with people, but put those two together and it’s a steep learning curve. Yanagi does go over to acads occasionally: that’s why the study guides have about 37.87% more statistics than necessary. He leaves chair training to Sanada and Marui, however. 

Operations/Conference Management - Kirihara

Admin - Urayama

As the two youngest members, they help each other out and learn from seniors along the way. Neither of them is naturally organised, so you often see haphazard scrambling near deadlines. 

Kirihara’s very eager to make the conference great. In the weeks leading up to the conference, he puts in 200%. He also helps Sanada and Marui with chair training.

Urayama is a nice kid, so he answers a lot of delegates’ questions when they’re too scared to ask their chairs. He’s super attentive when people are giving feedback. He’d like to do academics or publicity at his next conference, but he’s still undecided. 

Rikkai as a whole

While not as grand as Hyoutei MUN with its 200 staff members and 900 turnout, Rikkai MUN can hold its own and more. Despite their various titles, the Big Three function like an actual troika (the similarity is not missed by war crisis delegates) here. 

When Fuji S. signs up as an external photographer, Yukimura is suspicious but lets him. The two quickly amass over 100 unglams of Sanada, Tezuka and Atobe. All Fuji’s attempts of taking unglams of Yukimura somehow end up with blank images.

Niou and his team of political actors all dress the same for socials night. It straddles the fine line between hilarious and headache-inducing when they emcee.

By the last day, Yukimura, Sanada, and Yanagi are running on a combined total of 13 hours of sleep. They crash in the operations room before the closing ceremony, until Jackal discovers them and Yagyuu discovers the permanent marker in his blazer pocket. Yanagi has a speech in 30 mins and blackmail material on everyone, and no sane person would dare make Yukimura look stupid. Poor Sanada doesn’t understand why everyone can’t look at him with a straight face for the rest of the evening.

Kirihara grows a lot from this experience, and Kaidoh, Hiyoshi, Zaizen are all impressed. By this time, Next Gen have known each other for two years and are good friends. Kirihara makes Jackal give him priority access to the photo booth where Next Gen spend 20 mins with each boy trying to make himself look better than the others. 

After closing ceremony, Urayama and Marui take individual photos with everyone. Marui insists on queuing at the photo booth so he can use the props, while Urayama’s happy enough to use his phone.

BIG UPDATE ON MUN AU #2

Okay everyone!! Some pretty big announcements on the way!

#1) We have been able to create a Discord server for The Com-Mun-ity! With the huuge help and contributions of @askkalaallitnunaat’s, we were able to accomplish not only the Discord server, but also the official main Hub for the project! As of now, theyre not fully open for the public yet, (i need to consult the other admins first plus the discords for admins only atm) but im sure that’ll change really soon!

#2) Guys. WE. HAVE. A LOGO..!! 

YEEES YOU HEARD READ THAT RIGHT EVERYONE! We have an official logo as well! A huge thank you to @niutellat for creating and designing it!

3#) The main Hub blog itself is almost complete!! I went ahead and edited it as well as add other pages such as rules and regulations, faqs, and a mun directory!

#4) We currently have around 6 admins already! They are @ask-the-eternal-state, @ask-ghost-feli, @indiegenesis101, me, @askkalaallitnunaat, and  @niutellat! We’ll be the ones looking over the blog as well as the Discord chat!

Please keep in mind that I PERSONALLY approached each Admin! They did not apply or fill an application--some are good and personal friends of mine while some were personally recommended by the earliest admins (@niutellat and @askkalaallitnunaat)! So there is no need to approach me about open admin positions! I will most likely approach YOU if I/we believe you are qualified for the position!
