how to add PSDs onto rp icons
so basically how to make an icon from this

or to any type of PSDs that you prefer !
1. FIRSTLY : find a PSD that you want !
you might ask — what is a PSD ? The answer: idk lol. Well, I have no idea what it meant specifically , but to me it’s just a layers of colouring that people invent via Photoshop so they can highlight / colour their graphics / icons / whatever to make it prettier !
Where can you find it ? My first suggest is you search through tumblr tags such as : /tagged/psd-gifs or /tagged/psd or /tagged/psd-icons — basically any variations of it will do and any terms of search would tend to show results. Now, me personally, I already have favourites.
My go-to PSDs maker are usually bluesargent ( for pale aesthetic stuff ) and lyanasnow ( for not-so-pale but still pretty stuff ). Okay, so for this tutorial, credit goes to lyanasnow because I will be using their PSD and I choose below:

2. SECOND: okay, once you choose a PSD that you like — PSD makers usually tend to share them so they would insert a link anywhere for you to download. Well, next move is to identify that link and download it !
3. STEP THREE: once downloaded, click on what you’ve downloaded so you can check the PSD for real. It will usually show up in this format:
4. STEP FOUR: now to icon-making. for this tutorial, i’m assuming you must have already known how to make base icons. if you don’t — for starters , you download ( i usually just right click and choose “Saved As” ) any picture / screencaps you want , and open it up on Photoshop. You crop it 1x1 — then click Image on top of your browser for Photoshop options , which you will then see a series of whatever options that you’re able to click — and click Image Size and change it to ( for basic ) 100x100 // although that’s for respective references like you can make it whatever size you want.
So it’s basically: Image >> Image Size >> 100x100
Okay, done with that, we shall continue with our tutorial. So prepare your icon—

HOW TO DUPLICATE THE LAYERS:
For me, I just right-click and a series of options will be shown. And then you click “DUPLICATE LAYERS”. Example:
Just duplicate to the file of your icon — MAKE SURE YOUR ICON IS UNDER THE PSD!!!!! like this:

5. STEP FIVE: save ! typical rpers tend to save their icons to .png ( including myself ) though .jpg / .jpeg are also applicable and acceptable :))
PLEASE REMEMBER sometimes base icons can easily be obtained because i know a lot of people / resources prepared them. but !! MAKE SURE TO READ THEIR RULES. most people tend not to allow their base icons to be edited, so watch out for that.
Also, DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE PSDs and claim it as yours as well! Let us all just be respectful and have a nice time with one another :)
