Thinking of revamping my 2014 year old OC blog, with connection to Manny’s world.

Anyways, I suppose this is an AU where Kofuzumi talks with Harada about the past and how Kofuzumi feels useless since the sword warriors are basically forbidden to have these kinds of interactions with their former masters because of alterations and whatnot.

//Also mini psa, I associate the Shinsengumi of Hakuouki with their respective swordboys because I love that series too hence the use of Harada from Hakuouki here.

Kofuzumi never thought he’d find himself in a situation quite like this. To wind up faced with his former master for the first time since he himself gained a human form.

Kofuzumi felt he had to let them out. All the thoughts that had bothered him all these years. It’s the only way to know for sure how his former master felt about the matter. He took a deep breath before speaking.

“I’m sorry my blade wasn’t of much use to you..Compared to your spear.. I feel even worse that my blade was useless the night that you died. I regret not being of more use to you..”

To think, not only his sword had a soul of its own, but had feelings of uselessness. As saddening as it was to hear, Harada couldn’t just stand there and let him continue thinking that. His usual soft smile formed on his face before he began speaking.

“Your blade was never useless to me.” He rested his free hand on the hilt of the sword that was strapped against his side. “Sure I have a preference for fighting with my spear, but that doesn’t make your blade any less useful. It always comes in handy at times where I need it most, and as long as I have it with me it’ll never be useless.”

“Whatever circumstances happen that lead to my death, I’m sure there’s a reason I never draw my blade. Perhaps there isn’t time for me to draw it in the moment or something else happens. Either way, my death isn’t your fault as I’m sure it’s my own actions that led to it.”

Kofuzumi couldn’t believe what he just heard. All this time he thought of himself as useless, yet his former master thinks otherwise. Part of him wondered if his mind was playing tricks on him.

“You really think so?..”

“Of course I do. I’d be lying if I said I thought you were.”

Kofuzumi still couldn’t believe it. All he ever wanted was to feel useful and it tuns out he actual was all this time. Tears began to stream down his face.

(I just realized that I forgot that Aurelio’s birthday was a couple of days ago (on the 3rd)

so yeah, here’s a belated thing about how I think his birthday would’ve gone

It was very early in the morning, the sun had barely even begun to rise. Aurelio laid in his bed, still trying to get in some more sleep before he had to get up for class. He liked the peace and quiet of the dorm room at this time of morning. It was quite rare for the dorm to be so quiet considering how dysfunctional the team was. Sadly, the silence wasn’t about to last much longer.

He least expected the room lights to come on followed by the sounds of party whistles going off. He opened his eyes and sat up, discovering himself covered in confetti.

“Happy birthday Aurelio!” Leon somewhat shouted, party whistle hanging out of the side of his mouth.

Aurelio looked over at him with his usual unamused look on his face, confetti still resting on his head. “Leon, is there a reason you couldn’t wait until it’s actually time for us to be up to decide to do this?” He asked, with a half awake tone of voice.

“I thought about that, but I just couldn’t wait much longer. Birthdays are big days for us and you know that. I just thought we could, y’know, brighten up your day a little since you’re almost always in a bad mood.” Leon responded with an awkward smile.

“You’re not wrong about the last few words.” Norbert commented.

“Shut up Norbert, you’re way worse than me in that department.” Aurelio commented back.

Meanwhile, Dolan just stood by and watched all the bickering going on. Wondering if he should bother trying to stop them.

“Alright guys that’s enough. Can’t we just calm down and try to make this a fun day?” Leon asked.

“I still don’t get why this is such a big deal considering it only means I’m a year older.” Aurelio sighed.

Leon let out a light laugh. “Doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate that. Now c’mon, I’ve got some fun stuff planned out for after school.”

(So this just sort of popped in my head regarding the post about Silver I made late last night

A bit of a father-son talk that most likely happened back before he met his teammates (basically it’s a pre-RWBY:CMYK moment))

“Maybe I’m just not cut out to make friends. Any time I try to I always fail at it. All these years and still no luck.” Silver commented, arms crossed as he leaned against a nearby tree.

“As I keep telling you, that day’s bound to come eventually. You just have to hang in there and wait. Friendships just don’t happen instantaneously like you think.” Gray, Silver’s foster father, hinted as he cleaned his sword.

“At the moment I’m starting to wonder if there’s even a point in making friends. What’s to say that even if I do make friends, that they won’t just up and ditch me? I’ve been on my own without friends for a long time Pops, maybe I actually don’t need them.” Silver let out a light groan.

Gray sighed deeply, and placed his sword back into its sheath. He knew he didn’t raise the kid to be so stubborn. He got back up onto his feet and walked over to where Silver was, followed by grabbing him by his shirt collar.

“Now listen to me son, and listen good. Take a good look at me.. Does it look like things turned out great when I was on my own without friends? I’m pretty much completely blind in my right eye because I had nobody to defend me when I was about your age. That’s not even the half of it. If I didn’t have friends, I most likely would’ve either died from the blood loss of losing my leg, or been finished off by the beowolf the took it off.” He paused to take a deep breath.

“Point is, you need friends whether you really think you do or not. Just keep waiting and you’ll find your friends. When you finally do find them, you’ll realize just how important they are to you.” He gently let go of Silver’s shirt.

“Yeah, you have a point there Pops. I’ll try not to give up.” Silver responded.

“I knew you would son.” Gray then patted Silver on the shoulder.

dunno how many people following me are reading it, but chapter 2 is up
