Today in 1984, The Cosby Show debuted on NBC. For the occasion, Kermit is wearing Cliff's sweater (or my half-assed attempt at drawing it) from the Season 2 intro.
It's been one of my favorite shows since I was a child; I think I've seen the entire series so many times that I could probably do a one-woman show of it, if held at gunpoint (actually, I think I'd just pee my pants and/or faint if I was held at gunpoint).
The show even featured the Muppets in one of its episodes :Season 6, Episode 26 -- "Cliff's Nightmare"
