Murder Maps S5Ep8, "The Richmond Murder"
Murder Maps, tale of Jack the Ripper (2019)
[Part 1] / [Part 2]
Great documentary foccusing on the lifes of the Canonical victims (Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly) of the Whitechapel murderer. It’s great to know that two other victims (Emma Elizabeth Smith and Martha Tabram) are mentioned as well. It would be great if one day all the victims are featured in a doc, all of them deserve justice, not just the five.
This is a must seen doc, all the Ripperologists and admirers of the dark Victorian times will enjoy and will know more true facts about the victims.
With:
Nicholas Day (presenter)
Dr. Lucy Andrew (author of “Capturing Jack the Ripper”)
Dr. Matthew Green (author of “A History of London”)
Alan Moss (former police Chief Superintendent)
Professor Judith Rowbotham (criminologist)
Hallie Rubenhold (author of “The Five”)
Donald Rumbelow (British crime historian)
Cast
Mary Ann Nichols - Charlotte Mounter
Annie Chapman - Penelope Granycome
Elizabeth Stride - Bryonie Pritchard
Catherine Eddowes - Niya Hill
Mary Jane Kelly - Lara Lemon
I’ve been watching so much British television that I’ve started dreaming myself with a British accent
Ripper Street and Murder Maps
In case people didn’t know George Chapman the ripper suspect from “Occurrence Reports” was like Fred Abberline in that he was a real person and a real suspect in the case. Of course nothing was proven for The Ripper but George did become famously known as the Borough Poisoner.
Learned all this from Murder Maps (also on Netflix) Season 1 Episode 2
i’m losing my shit at the john george haigh episode of murder maps
In other news you should all watch Murder Maps on Netflix
It’s a documentary/drama show about historical murders in London and it has new eps and is so good for Halloween.
