It was almost time to state his case to the murderer. The pieces were there – if everyone else in the temple had been honest to him. It was just up to Wocky to connect them well enough to stay alive. Although after his blunder with the riddle yesterday, he wasn’t feeling all too confident.
There was nothing he could do to settle his nerves before his turn arrived, but maybe channeling that energy into something productive would be beneficial. He’d been meaning to do this anyway, ever since he’d learned he was a part of some freak’s murder game.
With the pencil provided by Phoenix to write his case on and an extra piece of parchment, Wocky sat down and got to more writing. “Hey mom, hey pops,
I’m sorry I haven’t talked to you guys in a couple of days. It’s been a wild ride up here at Hanamura Hazakura temple. And by wild I mean we’re trapped up here… but you probably know that already. That avalanche aint no joke though okay? It was a set up! I’m trapped up here and I’m being forced to play some crazy murder mystery game!? The nun’s dead!!! Yah, I’m not trapped up here alone, you feel? You won’t believe the kinds of people I’m stuck with! You know the Steel Samurai show from a while ago? The guy who plays him is up here! Will Powers! He’s a real cool dude. And mom guess who else is here? Max Galactica! I know how much you like him. He’s pretty okay too. Oh and Viola Cadaverini. Isn’t that just crazy??
There are a bunch of other people here too… And some scruffy guy – Phoenix Wright (I think that’s the guy you saw get hit by a car momma) is the only other one with a phone besides the fruit cake running the show. I wonder if he’d let me use it to call you?
I know this letter is all over the place. I’m sorry. I’m just really scared… I’m about to go tell the killer what I think happened to this poor woman… this wasn’t no honorable hit or nothin.
If I get this too wrong I might be next to die.
I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on. I love you.
- Your boy Wocky”
He folded the parchment up into thirds and wrote on the front, “If I get off’d please get this to my folks.” The letter was then slipped into the bag he’d brought up with him into the mountains and Wocky left to go state his case.
