"You need to check the perimeter."
something about noma dumezweni playing a character named maxine spear in only murders in the building & then later playing dr mensah, a character who uses a mining drill for a key plot point in murderbot tv
i don't have hulu currently but maxine (noma dumezweni's character) and oliver having a reviewer/reviewed frenemyship in her few apperances was a fun touch to omitb s3's focus on the theater and stage musicals, and the season's exploration into the heart of the creative process: what it means to find inspiration and joy out of being seized by the compulsion to create and shape something that matters to you, the authenticity of putting your genuine passion into a project, the familiarity that can come with years of witnessing someone's work and presence... the disappointment of seeing someone hold themselves back, the satisfaction of seeing a spark come to life within even a bonafide flop, the even greater satisfaction of seeing something all come together beyond expectations
