I don't think I've ever done such a genuine and literal double take but I glanced over to the sci-fi section, looked away, thought "wait, was that?" and my head whipped back SO FAST! I'm so happy I could cry

For those that don't know, Platform Decay officially releases on May 5th so in over a week. Sometimes it pays off to live in Germany I genuinely think sometimes they put out the english books as soon as they get a delivery. there have been a few times that I found books one or two days before their official publication day but never over a week damn

just read platform decay, the new murderbot book, and will be posting about it A Lot. I will be tagging those posts with "platform decay spoilers" if you want to block them.

also, just watched and then read project hail mary, fantastic stuff, bc the movie just came out I will be tagging those posts with "phm spoilers"

unrelated, I'm seeing the TADC finale in theaters on June 4th, and I will refrain from posting about it (except in a tumblr community set aside for that specific purpose) until June 19th when it hits youtube. when it does, I'll use the tags "tadc spoilers" and "tadc ep 9 spoilers"

I know at least some parts of the TADC finale were leaked somehow somewhere. I don't want to see it. I don't want to know about it. If you try to tell me about it, I will bring harm upon you. if you try to spread the leaked video/info, or post about it, you are my enemy. don't fucking test me.

Watching Worldhoppers to relax alongside Sanctuary Moon is a treat, and of course the “like hearing a heartbeat you recognize” line is instantly iconic. But imo the hands-down greatest Murderbot&ART moment in Platform Decay is,

…Three had already gotten Naja, Sofi, and Tula onboard. It waited outside for us, which was not protocol on a mission like this. It should have gone in first to make sure the shuttle was secure, or kept the humans out here with it until I arrived to take over. But we both knew what was in there, we could feel it on the feed, and we knew there was no way anything would happen to our humans on its watch.

That’s SecUnit trust!! With Mensah on board the whole time, no less!
