Some people run marathons. I run 30 blocks to the bagel store.
Sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese from Murray's. Tea in Ireland House while reading old fairy tales. Great morning study.

MURRAY'S BAGELS (@MurraysBagels) The Bertha: Fresh Homemade Tuna, Melted Cheddar, Onions, Bacon on an Everything Bagel, Scooped Out.
New York City, New York. November, 2010.
Perhaps I am on a New York binge or maybe I am just slightly obsessed with the city or maybe I'm green with envy that one of my besties is heading down there in a week. OR MAYBE it's because I miss this ridiculous meal that I, kid you not, get every single time I go down there, if not twice per visit. It is the staple dish of my New York adventures and will always be one of the first things I associate the city with.
This choice above, is entitled The Bertha. I always add onions to mine (it's not in the original ingredients) and I ALWAYS (I can not stress this enough) get the bagel scooped out. This is a must. I have learned the hard way that an experience to Murrary's with a scooped out bagel vs. an experience with a not scooped out bagel is just as different as plain night and day (DL).
Other options I've tried and loved are: Rivington Street: Nova Scotia Salmon & Sable, plain cream cheese, tomato, onion - again, SCOOPED OUT.
If you do not try this place once in your time in New York, you might not know what you're missing, but trust me - you're missing something.
A Good City is a New York City.
Today was pleasant. A great point on the map of my last year in NYC, i went to Murray's Bagels with my lady and we sat for a few hours and sat and talked, surrounded by great art and a beautiful coffeehouse setup, one of the places i value the most here. After we hit Tekserve, a great small store with awesome music gear and lots of sweet Apple stuff, last real place dedicated to computers and sound left.
Tomorrow i'm gonna hang with my beloved friends, people who were lost in translation during high school and i really regret it. They mean a lot to me so yea its a good feeling. A good friend of mine from school named Emmanuel is in a new relationship with someone and i wish them the best, YOU BETTER READ THIS AJA, make this one to remember.
To a new year and a stronger commitment to enjoying life.
That's all for now. Stay raunchy, from NYC.
