Selene had heard a lot about Lena through her son. He just adored the other female, and she was happy to have her son so happy and comfortable around someone. Whenever she would go to set up a time to meet her, something would always happen. However, now things had seemed to pan out and she was able to have Christopher tell her to meet her at his favorite ice cream shop. Gunmetal hues focusing on the door as it opened, the young mother gave a small smile as she saw the female walk in and come over to her. “So, I am to presume that you are Lena?” She questioned, brows slightly raised.
Everything Has Changed || Skull and Louis || Short Story
Everything has changed since I met you
My heart was broken
Hope was overdue
Colbalt eyes cast to a head of white hair before her, a small smile warming on her face as she watched her son play and laugh with her boyfriend who at that moment looked up and locked his blue eyes with hers and gave a smile. With her smile growing, she looked at the man who came into her life by chance, who turned it upside down, as he broke the contact and went back to playing with her son -- his considered son. As her eyes cast to the two males before her, she began to recall how lucky she was.
Skull remembered five days in her life, just five. These five days she will never forget. The first day she will never forget is the day that she lost her son. It shattered her whole world, and essentially changed her until she met her siblings; and the change wasn't a good one. She became cold, distant, mean, destructive, and withdrawn. She was a broken girl who was forced to grow up too fast. That leads to the second day she will never forget; the day she met her siblings.
She was the last to join the group, and at first she felt out of place. The relationship with Slade and Skuld was already very close, and she was scared there was no room for her; she believed there was no room for her. So she became more cold, more mean, more withdrawn. It was a rough time, took about a year before she cracked, when she did though it was the first step to getting her life back; getting herself back.
The third day she will not forget is the day she met Sean. Skull didn't know that she had other family, neither did Slade or Skuld, so when she met him -- she reverted back to being distant. It was a coping mechanism. Seeing Sean meant that her father had a brother, and that means that part of her past is coming back to her. Something she didn't want to confront. However once she passed that, and accepted that she was going to have to confront her life, she began to feel happy again.
The fourth day she will not forget is the day her parents and son came back. It was something that through her through a loop and broke her more than it fixed her. Just when she was getting back together, she was thrown again. This time though she had her family to help her find herself, and she knew how to let people in. After that she was able to begin to adjust to all but one thing -- the stares.
Running empty
Running out of time
Thought I lost my mind
But everything has changed since I met you
People did nothing but stare when she walked with Christopher, judge her, question her, whisper about her behind her back. She hated it, and she wanted nothing more than to tell the people off; it broke her. Hope to move on, to find someone, to be happy again, was gone. Who would want to date a mother, let alone a young mother? Who would want to be friends with a young mother? Who would see past that and see her? Skull believed the answer to be no one, that was until she met Louis.
This is the fifth day she would never forget. Meeting him was the best thing to happen to her -- even if she didn't know who he was. She doesn't see him as just a famous person from a popular band, and he didn't just see her as a young mother with a tragic past. It worked, and it was something that the white haired female needed. After he met Christopher and practically adopted him as his own, her worries disappeared, her hope renewed, and she began to learn to find herself.
Things were changing.
Nothing is the same since I met you
The hardest times are easy to get through
With shadows of the past disturb my night
Make them run and hide
Cause nothing is the same since I met you
Being a big star, the two were often apart, but it wasn't something that Skull minded. They talked every day, Skype called when they could, and she knew he would always come back. Whenever she had a bad day, or she wanted to go on a tangent she would call Louis, and he would talk to her. She found herself opening up bit by bit, and as much as it scared her -- she was glad for it. He helped make things easier, and all the doubts that she could have disappeared when she talked to him -- though Louis didn't know this.
Granted Skull still didn't know who she was. She was a mother, then she wasn't, now she is again. Not only that she is a daughter again, a sister, a friend, and a cousin. Is this who she always was, and she never had the people in her life to show her? Or was she this was because of the people in her life? She didn't know, and it was just as frustrating for her as it was scary.
Here and now
Just hear me out
Through fear and doubt
I'd never let you down
I'd never let you down
Louis was patient though. Told her time and time again he wasn't going anywhere, and no matter who she was he loved her and her son. Time and time again he proved this. Time and time again he proved that he would never let her down, just like he said; those words still ring through her head each day, they comforted her and reminded her that she wasn't alone.
Well those words and the words of her son, who really loved Louis as his own father, happy that they were as close as they were -- as if they were related by blood.
Everything has changed since I kissed you
I never thought the love could be this true
When I thought that feeling couldn't last
You went and kissed me back
Cause everything has changed since I kissed you
"You look like you have this buddy, let me go sit with your mom for a minute okay? Then we can finish it." spoke the older male as Christopher gave a nod and a bright smile as he went back to the project at hand; a little replica ship. Smiling Louis sat down next to Skull and kissed her cheek, wrapping his arm around her as he looked down at Christopher with the child's smiling young mother next to him.
"He really is smart," spoke the young celebrity, a laugh escaping the woman's mouth who sat next to him. "Very, not sure where he gets it from though." responded Skull as she looked over at Louis who gave a fake look of shock. "Why you of course. Looks and brains." at this Skull couldn't help but laugh a bit. "I don't see it but I will take your word on it." she replied, making Louis give a small smile as he looked at her. "You will see it too. I will help you -- don't worry." Colbalt hues locked with a pair of lighter blue. This was something that Skull loved about Louis, his certainty that he will help her see her the way she wants to see herself.
With a soft smile, Skull leaned forward and placed her lips on his, a small kiss exchanged. Breaking apart she smiled at Louis. "I know," was all she said as Christopher turned around and looked up at the two. "Daddy! I need your help." Laughing Louis kissed Skull's cheek before stepping down and sitting back in front of the young child as he turned around, both talking as they went back to their model making.
As Skull watched them build, her mind wandered off again, happiness filling up inside her. This is what it was like to have a family, to be happy, to be loved. Something she never thought to have, something she is very glad to have.
Here and now
Just hear me out
Through fear and doubt
I'd never let you down
I'd never let you down
Here and now
Just hear me out
Through fear and doubt
I'd never let you down
I'd never let you down
Everything has changed since I met you
And I hoped that I have changed your whole world too
Looking down at her small little family, the young mother took out her phone and took a few pictures, saving them for later. Skull's life has been nothing but changes. Losing her parents, going to the orphanage, being raped, having a kid, losing the kid, traveling, finding her siblings, finding her cousin, making friends, getting her parents back, getting her son back, having a family, and finding what she believed to be love.
Having someone, people, there for her -- believing in her. Having people to lean on, to trust, to open up to. Having someone to love both as family and in a romantic sense. Being happy again. Having people who won't let her down, and people to not let down.
Here and now
Just hear me out
Through fear and doubt
I'd never let you down
I'd never let you... oh
Here and now
Just hear me out
Through fear and doubt
I'd never let you down
I'd never let you down
"Mama! You should come help us!" chimed Christopher, colbalt eyes that mirrored his mother's as he looked up at her. Laughing the female shook her head. "I don't think that would be a very good idea sweetie." she spoke, making Louis pout as he looked up at Skull as well. "Awe, come on Selene. I know you can do it." whined the celebrity, making Christopher nod his head. "He's right Mama! You just have to believe in yourself!" chimed the child, bright eyes with a matching smile as he looked at his mother. "Pleeaaaaaaase?" begged Louis, batting his eyelashes as he pouted. Laughing the young mother got off the couch and sat between Louis and Christopher, on the side of the boat, a smile on her face as she ruffled her son's hair. "How can I say no to my two men?" she questioned, making Christopher beam as he smiled wide. "Yay!" the child chimed as he began to explain what needed to be done, Skull and Louis looking at each other with warm smiles before turning their attention back to the boat, each person helping finish the model.
Everything has changed since I met you
And I hoped that I have changed your whole world too
Stupid business with her inheritance made the white haired female have to leave for two weeks. It was a pain, and even though she still talked to everyone, it was nice to come home. Now that she had one, it felt odd being away from it for too long, and it felt really odd being away from her friends and family for too long. Things really had changed over a year, but she was glad for it.
Walking along, she smiled as she saw Skylar walk out of the stadium where he worked. Thank goodness she had her sister, or else this whole plan wouldn't have worked. Walking up to him she gently tapped his shoulder. "Hey good looking," she mused, a smile on her face. "Sorry no offense but your girlfriend is the luckiest girl ever. Just saying."
