Gone was the warmth of peace that enveloped her, the feeling of feeling weightless, painless... FREE. In its place the frigid cold bit at her harshly, the streets bustling with life. Liz had prided herself on the fact that she was one of few humans dying a mundane death in Mystic Falls, she accepted her fate and with that acceptance, came the desire to not be resurrected. So, what in the hell was she doing back? And why here? She knew this place to be New Orleans, of course. She's been here once or twice growing up. But where did that logic add up? If you were going to get resurrected, wouldn't it be in the place you died? This place was a lot like New York. Everyone had a set destination and come hell or high water, they'd get there - even if it meant bulldozing through a crowd of people. Liz stepped back to avoid being one of the casualties of a man hurrying by eyes on the ground and phone pressed to his ear. In doing so, she bumped into someone. "Sorry." Liz stepped back from them, looking up when the familiarity hit her. He looked like Miranda, with a splash of Grayson in there. She blinks, snapping out of her thoughts - it was possible for people to resemble people without any connection there. "Do you have a phone I could borrow by chance?" She needed to get ahold of Caroline. If she was really back, for however long, she needed to see her daughter. Hopefully she still had the same number.
