“YEAH! THAT’S MY BIRD! SCRAM YOU GIANT OAF! YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED!!”
wait, i didn't finish teaching you the difference between human and wolf anatomy. @feracinefila
He was woken up by cursing, the sound of a woman whispering swears beneath her breath, and the voice of a quieter, nervous voice trying to calm someone down. Along with the noise came a jolt of pain that rang through his head, all stemming from the nasty bruise forming on the back of his neck. Fi...

With your doors closed, but windows open wide
You won't let me in
But you'll let me peer inside
We'll take some steps, but still be standing still
So if you can't move for yourself
For you...I will
I will fan this ember into a flame
A roaring fire
And you'll tell me I'm to blame
There might not be a reason or a rhyme
But I think you know what I know
This could stand the test of time
This little lie is the most true thing I know
And if you dared, I bet you would let it show
Break down those walls, and let trust do its thing
This little lie might be our truth's beginning
So unlock your door, pull in the window sills
In the dark I could show you how to make
Time stand still
I'll be your shelter, your little pain pill
I'll be anything you want from me
For you...I will

Kai was just locking up his shop, deciding to close a bit earlier than usual, so that he could get to bed earlier in preparation for the big day tomorrow. Just as he flipped the lock, he noticed a presence nearby and the moment he turned to glance over at the person, his eyes widened in surprise.
The petite blonde at his side was someone he hadn’t seen since high school, and despite all the rumors he had heard about her, she certainly didn’t look any different than he remembered her.
“Woahhhh?! Ajumma?! Long time no see!”
His teasing comment earned him a rather unexpected kick to the shin, and he found himself hopping up and down on one foot rather comically.
“I think your memory must be getting bad in your old age, Kai. Or did you forget that I’m younger than you?” Elise pursed her lips at him, crossing her arms over her chest as she added in, “Abeoji.”
Kai rather dramatically switched to clutching at his chest, pretending to be personally wounded by, not one, but two jabs at his age. “Ouch! That hurts, Elise!” he responded, finding himself laughing casually at the banter that they still made so effortlessly. “So, tell me. To what do I owe this pleasure?”
“Your Open Mic Night tomorrow. I’m going to be attending, so... Just make sure you don’t bore me to tears, got it?” The debutante moved a hand to her hip and offered him a little smirk. If it had been anyone else, he might have taken offence, but Kai knew her well enough to realize this was her way of letting him know he had her support.
“Aye aye, Princess.” he gave her a mock salute, followed by a playful wink.
Elise’s pale cheeks flushed a light pink as she pursed her lips up at him, staring for a moment before she finally shrugged her shoulders and turned her back to him, seemingly ready to retreat.
“See you tomorrow,” she paused, purposely flicking her mane of yellow hair so that it would smack him right on the face. “Oppa.”
The one thing that was guaranteed to bring him to his knees! And yet all he could do is burst out laughing as he watched her stride away from him, not leaving him any chance for proper rebuttal.
“That’s just mean, Princess!”
But his shouted words only earned him a passive wave as she continued walking. Tomorrow night was shaping up to be more and more interesting.

Valentine had told her what today was so naturally, the little doll made a series of paper flowers and he helped to cut them out, there's even a real bouquet waiting on the kitchen counter, before he left the doll alone to finish her Mothers Day Card, Val wrote on a small paper of what to say for Molly to copy from. Just in time --hopefully-- for her mama to get home!
I was listening to Muse on campus, and then I walked in the Second Cup and it's the same song playing, at the same moment. Hum, I think I lived a Muse-ception moment people.
