“Shuichiii....” As Kaede feared, she was exactly right: Shuichi hadn’t been sleeping nor eating. Much as she wanted to scold him for doing a very terrible job at taking care of himself, that could wait: right now, she needed to make him eat at lease something and make him sleep.
“O-Okay, okay, sit down...” She helps him over to the chair. If he was feeling dizzy, then standing definitely wouldn’t be good. “I’ll make you a quick meal. Then, you’ll get a good nap in, okay?”

It was a pretty busy hour at the flower shop this afternoon, but manageable. Right now, the florist was tending to some of the flowers by watering them.
Hearing someone come in, he turns around with the intention to greet them. “!” That’s when he sees it’s Maki who enters, giving her a big smile. “Ah, Maki! Nice to see you!” Holding his watering can to his side, he walks over to her.
“How has things been going at the dojo? I know you’ve been especially busy for the majority of the week, yeah?”

The trial was nearing the end. As the magician continues watching, she could see that Kaito was super close to exposing the witness-the true killer of this case- but he still needed to prove said witness could have possibly entered the supposedly “unreachable” room, since the elevators were out of order and if he took the stairs, the security cameras would have caught him.
Even she noticed how much the prosecutor was trying so hard to keep exclaiming that Kaito’s client could only be the killer since he was in the room with the victim at the time. And thinks that the client was lieing about having suddenly blacked out when he heard a loud sound and when waking up, the victim was already dead.
But Trucy is sharp: she already found out how what really happened. So, and this was probably very reckless to do, but she didn’t care: standing up from her seat in the gallery, Trucy shouts over to Kaito:
“The vent! Present the evidence showing the picture of that room and look very carefully at the vent!!!”
In all of her years of playing piano, Kaede always wanted to teach someone else how to play too. Of course, due to how people acted about her musical nature, she had been greatly put down and refrained from the thought popping up in her head again.
This was different, however. This was someone who she knew wouldn’t make too much fun out of her for her habits. At least, she hoped so...
🎼 - “And that’s really all there is to playing a song! Don’t let my playing intimidate you, we are starting from scratch, which are note placements and names!”
Anybody knew that if you couldn’t figure out where the notes were placed or what they were called, they had no chance of playing a song correctly. She didn’t doubt Shuichi’s knowledge at all, but Kaede wanted to make sure he knew exactly what he was doing and when.
And what better person to teach him than his friend, the piano freak herself!

“You seem... concerned,” she commented. The assassin didn’t need to look at the detective to tell. Though she had this feeling he was watching her. Probably attempting to figure out why she seemed off. His concern was typical, expected. But Maki would insist it was unnecessary. She didn’t particularly like when others worried about her.
“Why?”

The stars outside the Ultimate Academy were weird. When he had first gotten trapped here, had had hoped to narrow down their location based on the sky, but the nights under this sky were like nothing he had ever seen. It almost looked artificial, or maybe they were actually in space? He perished that thought quickly- most likely wishful thinking on his part. Despite the bizarre circumstances, looking at the sky still managed to make his chest tighten and his eyes widen. Even here, he felt the Universe calling him.
“We’re gonna get out of here, Harumaki,” he began, trying desperately to make it sound like a statement rather than a plea. “After all, I’ve got the Universe to explore. Maybe I’ll take you with me. Earth sure as hell hasn’t been kind to you, but... I think you’d do well in space...” In spite of himself, Kaito’s voice started to trail off.

“Maki! Tenko hasn’t seen you in a while!” Tenko exclaimed, smiling brightly. “What have you been up to?” The aikido master was looking forward to spending time with Maki again.
