✏️ + Gabi/Alastor
Alastor falls in love first, but Gabrielle trusts him first. Love and trust and anything close are pretty much foreign concepts to these two but they get their eventually. After their hooking up becomes more consistent and they actually become friends, Gabrielle is the first to start to trust Alastor with bit of her life that no one else sees. This is what builds his trust in her and makes him feel the same. But Alastor avoids feelings because he doesn’t think love and relationships are compatible with his job and who he is, Gabrielle just avoids them because she can’t handle it. This is what makes it easier for Alastor to fall first. Love isn’t scary to him, everything that comes with it is. Whereas the whole thing is terrifying to her.
They fight for weeks over what colour to paint the nursery because Gabrielle thinks yellow is a nice soothing colour for a baby but Alastor thinks it’s too bright. He has no fashion sense or colour coordination though so after pointing this out, Gabrielle gets her way.
They’re both 100% the love of each other’s life. They spend 16/17 years apart after they break up and no one ever even comes close. To be fair, Alastor never goes looking for anyone else either, but sometimes Gabrielle does because she gets very sick of the whole single mother thing, but she can never settle down with anyone else. Not that she ever gets to settle down with Alastor either cause he dies :)
