          eyes are vacant as svea stares out the nearby window, cheek resting in the palm of her hand as she listens to basil speak -- to anyone else, she would seem disinterested, annoyed -- yet the way her eyebrows furrow ever so slightly gives away her conflicting thoughts. it was true that her search had been brought to a standstill as of late, with so much work to be done &&. a cover to keep from being blown, &&. it was so unbearably frustrating. she wanted nothing more than to leave anyway despite it all, to face the risk in pursuit of knowledge, yet so actively throwing away her life for one she didn’t even know was hardly an option. shoulders rise && fall in a small sigh as lavender eyes close momentarily before glancing over to the other.

  Rare were the nights when he gathered a crowd of this magnitude. Hilichurls flanked him on all sides, sitting idle alongside the gelatinous elemental blobs that came crawling out of the woodwork from the moment he plucked his first note. Why was it that he found better company in the monsters humanity feared than the people of Mondstadt? Wasn’t that strangely messed up? The silver lyre wailed as the bard played his lamentation on its strings, his thoughts single-mindedly focused on letting his music flow freely.

  Even so, to claim he was oblivious of the new audience member in the heat of the moment would be a fallacious assumption. He was keenly aware of the knight that joined the crowd, his gaudy garb standing out like a splotch of white on a black canvas. He would address him in due time.

"Isn't there supposed to be some sort of festival about Inazuma? Are Captain Albedo and the Honorary Knight the only ones going? I'm kinda out of the loop here." Here's hoping he gets to SLACK a bit considering the Order is busy in out of the country matters.

“Oh, good day, sir Richtofen-Beaumont.” The knightess performed a bow as a greeting towards him. Upon being inquired about the current event in Inazuma, she tilted her head a bit in response. A question like this wasn’t honestly expected, furthermore she didn’t have much knowledge about the mentioned subject herself. 

“Indeed, there is, if I’m correct, Inazuma is currently holding a festival called the Irodori Festival. It is supposedly originated from the legend of the Five Kasen, a group of gifted singers and poetry writers from the ancient past. As in now, it becomes an international cultural convention. And yes, Captain Albedo and the Honorary Knight were invited, and I also have heard Klee was taken along for this occasion.”

“ Aww ! Arigato gozaimasu ! ” The featureless male gratefully replied to the hulking samurai in front of him. While many probably would have a hard time trying to decipher Sodom’s broken hybrid of English and Japanese, Gray understood it just fine.

Despite the samurai’s interests, Gray could see that Sodom was a fine fellow. Built like a brick house and knew just what to say to lighten someone’s spirits. Besides, being called “husbando material” felt pretty flattering to the grey being.
