Kiddo with our ,Blue Whale. I think I'll call her Margaret. Also, some flutterbys, because why not.
Chili for dinner, and mom isn't moving again. Geebus, my legs hurt.
Customer at the museum, barely audible over the other noises: hi can i get a ticket
Me, using my tour guide voice: Yes Of Course Would You Like General Admission Or Would You Like To See Our Special Exhibition As Well
New foot who dis? Couldn’t record today, but here’s some audio from when I flapped my hands at the Beinecke in 2019.
This evening was sponsored by IMSLP. As always, follow along at home:

Museum Fun || Mary && Magnus
On the Tuesday’s that Mary did not have off, she took the children on field trips around Elias. Though their town was small, they still boasted a fairly sizeable museum downtown. It was a museum of history and there was a new traveling exhibit on display.
Mary carried four-year-old Jamie in her arms; he had grown weary of walking. His seven-year-old sister, Abigail, followed along beside Mary, asking countless questions and commenting on the world around them as they approached the entrance to the museum. Abigail rushed ahead to open the door and Mary followed closely behind. “Abigail, come back here with me!” she called to the child as she began to wander toward the gift shop.
Mary bought their tickets and took both children by the hands, striding confidently into the exhibits. She took the time to answer all of Abigail’s questions about Elias’s history and what other parts she could, but when they reached the new wing with the traveling exhibit, she began to struggle. She knew nothing of the elaborate ink paintings or calligraphy scrolls that the young girl was admiring. She looked around helplessly for someone who might be able to tell the small child what each thing meant and said.
Kim and Kal
Maria forces me to go to the museum garden with her. I'm taking pictures of the spiders, butterflies, catapilers, and plants. I'm not paying attention to Maria till I hear a blood curdling scream.
"KIM! KILL IT! SAVE ME! KIM!"
I jump at the scream and Maria running from her plants to the garden exit. I raise an eyebrow and look around, "WHAT? WHAT AM I KILLING?" I step away from the black widow I was taking a picture of.
"THE FUZZY SNAKE. KKKKIIIIIMMMM!" She points at a small fuzzy Caterpillar running to the watermelon plant.
I sigh and that's when I see Kal in front of me, "Its just a Caterpillar, Kal."
He laughs and gently picks up the catipiller and places it on the Watermelon plant. "I thought she was screaming for you to be killed."
I laugh and kiss his cheek.
Museum staff would like to kindly remind chaperones, parents, adults, and/or those who paid admission for children to enter the facility: PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB ON OR ATTEMPT TO UTILIZE AN EXHIBIT THAT IS BROKEN. We are thankful to have patrons who insist on fixing it themselves but it’s best to leave the fixing to a professional and/or someone older than 8-years-old. So, if you see a red sign saying out of order, please do not use it. It will prevent further disappointment and another bad yelp review. =)
Design It!
Peter Piper and his young son, Cornelius, came from Chicago to visit the museum of science fun.
“Oh, sticks of fiddle, Papa! Today is Mama’s birthday!” said the young child.
“You’re right, offspring of mine,” replied Dad. “What shall we do?”
“KDI LAB!” cried the boy.
Off to the lab of wonder did they laser cut, glue googly eyes, and sneeze glitter. Together they created for Mama Piper a rocket...
...A ROCKET TO MARS!!!
