1.27.21 Lunchtime drawing: Revisiting the Museum at Eldridge Street today with watercolor on the way to school pickup, giving me ten minutes to finish. About 5 years ago I was invited by the museum to do a series of sketches inside, I love this synagogue from 1887!

More than 25 million immigrants, including more than 2.5 million Jews, came to the United States at that time. . ❣️ The Museum completed the Eldridge Street Synagogue restoration in December 2007, the synagogue’s 120th anniversary. In 2010, the Museum commissioned a monumental stained glass window by artist Kiki Smith and architect Deborah Gans. .
