merikposting… hugh panaro version
fellow poto artists, are there any discord servers to be found? specifically queer friendly. i wanna share my art with more like-minded individuals with The Brainrot
"there will never be a day when i won't think of you,”
id: a full body, full color illustration + shading and border of a couple. the two are dressed as raoul and christine from phantom of the opera in their costumes during ‘think of me’. the person dressed as raoul has one of their hands at the others back and the two are holding hands. they are standing in front of a dark red background and the border is gold with sculpted roses, angel wings, a scarf, and a mask decorating it.
Did a commission for a friend of mine & it was so much fun!
Smol Eriks - Musical!Phantom Edition
@another-chorus-girl mentioned other small Eriks (in reference to this post about Smol Cherik), and I have some time before my next college class...
ALW Musical!Phantom:
He was probably writing music or something and fell asleep...and then woke up that way. Either that or Raoul or Christine make some prayer/wish/curse about making their problems smaller and it effects Erik for some reason.
Candle-wax has a tendency of dripping on him (a bigger problem for Merik than for Cherik)
WeLP HE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE A PROPER HOUSE SO HE HAS LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO
I’m now imaging Erik flinging himself from key to key on his organ in an attempt to make music (or just noise so someone notices him)
His cape and pretty hats won’t fit so he’s not-secretly-crushed about that (poor fop)
Either Meg Giry or Mme. Giry finds him - Mme. Giry was concerned when he didn’t show up to a performance one night.
She just looks down at him with her hands on her hips and then proceeds to give him a twenty-minute lecture on how irresponsible he is and how he’s making a big deal over nothing.
He shoots liTTLE SPARKS OF FIRE FROM PLACES
Christine uses some spare fabric from either her or La Carlotta’s opera outfits so Erik can have a cape and more outfit variety.
Raoul de Changy is (understandably) angry and confused when Christine brings a little Erik to him, imploring that they look after him until they can reverse whatever happened to Erik.
Erik doesn’t want anyone handling him, but soon realizes that it’s much faster to travel via Christine’s hand or Mme. Giry. The only three people he allows to do this are Christine, Mme. Giry, and Meg. Raoul probably does it at least once, but that doesn’t mean he had Erik’s permission to do so.
Again, he tries to write notes and is furious when he can’t. Christine agrees to write them while he paces back-and-forth and dictates them to her. She doesn’t send the letters, but it helps Erik release some pent-up rage.
Christine tells him stories to pass the time - most of them are the fairytales which her father used to tell her, and they both speculate on whether he’s been cursed by a fairy or a goblin.
He’s shaking when Christine carries him because he’s: 1) low-key terrified, and 2) She’s tOUCHING HIM AND HE CAN’T HANDLE IT
He probably cries because of this
Erik ends up getting separated from the Giry’s and de Changy’s and is caught by an inquisitive company member. They put him in a little glass case and Erik doesn’t respond well.
A lot of little firey sparks and cage-related trauma.
He kisses Christine’s hands/fingers a lot
Again, I can see Christine giving him a little kiss on his head
Maybe there’s a scene where he wants to go back down to his lair, but Christine and Mme. Giry are adamant that he can’t live on his own...not when he’s that tiny.
This means that he can’t go back to the only home he’s ever known - there’s undoubtedly a song about this sung by tiny Erik as he sits alone in Christine’s dressing-room.
There’s another song where he speculates - with much doubt, uncertainty, wonder, and a touch of fear - about whether or not he could have a new home with the de Chagny’s. Christine insists that he go with them for the time being, which means a life out of his control...a life apart from the Opera Grainier.
People trying to sneak him past La Carlotta and the managers - an up-beat song there, too.
Just a lot of great songs with great messages
Because of the drama king that is Merik, what happens is they’re about to leave the Opera House and then he’s surrounded by fog/smoke/what-have-you and then he springs forward, once more restored to his normal size.
He keeps the little accessories which Christine made for him.
Christine reminds Erik at the end that her invitation still stands - their home is always open to him.
Way more detail here. A lot more angst. Then again, this is the Musical Phantom. There’s always angst involved.
Don Juan the Triumphant!
a phantom of the opera retelling aimed to bring awareness towards disfiguremisia: the erasure of, and prejudice against, disfigured (or visibly different) people.
More information down below!
The POTO Trio as different ethnicities!
[L,R: black, latino, indigenous, south asian, white, and east asian]
I’d love to see more lead roles in POTO go to actors/actresses of color! In the mean time, artists can draw it + writers can write it.
If you find this in poor taste, leeme know! it's an artists responsibility to uplift others, not put them down. Thank you so much!
