Alien insects, brains, lights, and music all at #mtfberlin ..This particular room is called the 'absorption chamber' and was built atop a broadcast building/ recording studio and designed to absorb the excess noise throughout the building. The wonderful creatives at #musictechfest ,however, used it to put on some splendid performances and to present the topic of animals (humans) relationship with technology. Beautiful ! (at Funkhaus Berlin)

I have to been trying to catch up what happened 2 weeks ago in Umea - Sweeden but everything is happening to fast.

100 Km below the North Pole in a place where the sun does not go down and sponsored by red bull ( can you imagine the thrill and high beta brain activity that was happening there??) the Music Tech Fest was happening.

Amazing gigs, amazing talks and a 48h hackathon for the development of music technology and ideas. I was amazed by 3 amazing artists:

. My newest friend Ma Tan from Tel Aviv and owner of Shift ↑ שיפט talking about Dis-Co-Tech Music - Technology, the first Hackathon for Music Technology for Special Needs. How brave is to link the top of the pyramid (pro musicians) with the bottom of it (disabled musicians) and how grateful is watching their evolution and happiness.

. Ecce Cello: conceptually genius performance gathering actual questions such as ego and technology with a good sense of emotionality and humor. You can see it on this amazing TED Talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_hrVpx6bfY&

In the end all the smart sketches that arises were all incredible.

I haven’t felt this excited about connecting with awesome people from all corners of the world, musictechfest you are special.

With all the excitement around Hackathon and Trackathon running at the same time, contestants pleaded for an extension after learning more about the digital release of this EP that will go towards charity.  Especially after hearing how much everyone wanted to participate in both competitions, the deadline has now been extended to one week.  The first ever Music Tech Fest EP, are we excited?  Receiving submissions yesterday morning put the biggest smile on my face, I was gleaming the entire day.  Thanks to all the keen people, your messages, excitement, and support means a lot.  I can’t wait to deliver this awesome EP for you.
