Monday-Friday 11-7pm, Saturday 11-3pm. American artist Kiff Slemmons continues to investigate past jewelry forms through an ongoing exploration of paper as a material. These works address the simultaneous strength and fragility of paper, the historical and cultural significance of the material, and the use of paper and jewelry as a way to both protect and connect. ORO PAPEL DIAMANTE. @teresaestape El oro, el papel y el diamante son el punto de partida de esta exposición. La artista Teresa Estapé toma los tres elementos con los que se elaboran mercancías valiosas para reflexionar sobre la dicotomía precio-valor. Por medio de diferentes acciones, oculta sus propiedades para negar
su valor e invisibilizar su apariencia y evidenciar así las lógicas del capitalismo Valor refugio II , Estapé recorre la instalación de 96 hojas de papel DIN A4 con la frase Show me the money, impresa con punzón sin tinta a lo largo de todos los folios de papel. Así recupera el grito capitalista de los años 90, que aunque de manera más velada arrastramos hasta el día de hoy, y entre las hojas de papel camufla en forma y color una lámina de oro de 18 quilates pintada de blanco. De esta forma, el valor más importante de la pieza, el que podría monetizarse con más facilidad, está oculto en la instalación. (Como anexo a la obra, en la exposición también se presenta el valor de
