Harvey is the town doctor in a small, rural town, known for his gentle, cautious personality and slightly awkward but comforting bedside manner. Though having wanted to be a pilot in his childhood, he could never get over his fear of heights and poor eyesight, but he still indulges in his aviation fascination by putting together model planes and listening in on Aircraft radio frequencies. All things considered, though, he's more at ease with his feet on the ground, enjoying the slow life of his small garden, local practice, and walks through the mountain foothills.

Despite Harvey being the town doctor and thus incredibly important to his local community, he lacks confidence and is prone to overthinking and overworrying. With his somewhat anxious and risk-averse nature, he doesn't have many close friendships or other relationships, nervous about what others will think of him and his less than cool hobbies.

Father Paul Hill (Muse)

After the mysterious disappearance of the standing minister of a church of a small Canadian island town, Father Paul steps up of the only place of worship in town where most of the population attend mass. He is a kind and understanding man who despite being strange and slightly withdrawn truly cares for his community.

SPOILERS FOR MIDNIGHT MASS UNDER THE CUT

This is evident in the fact that on a trip to Israel to see where Jesus allegedly lived, finding himself lost in the desert, where he came upon a cave. In that cave he was met with a creature that in all his years of holiness he interpreted as an angel, especially when the creature fed him it's blood after drinking some of his, bringing the old man back to how his body and mind were in his mid thirties. Knowing that the angel could help the people suffering on the island he had called home for the last 50 years of his life, he took on the false name of Paul Hill and took the supposed angel with him back home where he regained the mantle of the leader of the small community's church.

His goal is to help those in the community, to heal their bodies and minds just as he has been healed by giving them some of the angel's blood in the communion wine, functionally making a town of almost vampires who need only to die to be reborn into their ideal, vampiric lives. Paul truly believes that he can make the lives of all of these people better

Species: Ghoul

Sodomizer, nicknamed Sodo, is a demon-like monster who was summoned into being decades ago with a cast of others to serve as a servant for an organization that called itself The Clergy. Some time after being summoned ritualistically, Sodo was brought into The Clergy's newest idea, something known as The Ghost Project with the goal to take down churches, recruit powerful individuals, infiltrate in the highest positions of society, and spread the message of Satan. This project however has been fairly unsuccessful so the leaders of the church decided to take on a new idea to spread their word: a metal band. He took up the position as a guitarist, always obscuring his face when performing. Though significantly smaller than the other ghouls, at first he was very showy and provocative, living up to the name he’d been given. In return for his and the other ghouls’ servitude, they’re allowed to eat the current frontman of the band when it comes to be the time to switch over the figurehead of The Clergy, live on stage in front of an audience at a concert.

Sodo is one of the most active ghouls in the group, interacting with the others and the general public often. He likes attention and does everything to make the others look at him and record him during concerts that The Clergy call rituals. He loves to annoy the other ghouls by upstaging them and behaving provocatively, often licking and simulating sex with the other male presenting ghouls. Despite this however, he’s incredibly respectful to the female presenting ghouls, giving them flowers that are thrown onto the stage, respecting their personal space, and making sure all eyes are on them during their solos. He and the other ghouls while not traveling to hold rituals across the world are tasked with up keeping the headquarters of The Clergy, a massive cathedral and mausoleum containing the entire bloodline of the family who founded the organization centuries ago, at least the ones that the ghouls haven’t been allowed to feast upon.

Max Jägerman (MUSE)

Max is a person with an incredibly large superiority complex, he views himself almost like a god that is superior to all his peers though is self-aware enough to know that he's going to peak in highschool. Due to his status as the star quarterback of his school's football team, Max has a lot of power at the school and abuses it in order to make others lives miserable as he's able to get away with bullying and beating up his classmates. However, Max is acutely aware that this power is limited to his time at Hatchetfield High and believes that his life 'will be over' once he graduates. As a result of this, Max puts up a facade of power while he can but deep down Max is deeply insecure and unsure of himself as a result of the verbal abuse he gets from his father and often channels this insecurity into his bullying. Max is truly someone who is actually deeply alone in the world due to the facade of popularity and anger he puts up and as a result is genuinely touched when people go out of their way to do something for him.

Following his death, Max becomes consumed by his rage. He loses all other wants and desires other than his need for revenge against those that killed him and all people who would do the same sort of thing. Despite this rage, he still is just an insecure barely adult teenager and lets his facade down as a ghost from time to time, showing how deeply alone he is and how much he yearns for any personal connection. His pre-existing feelings of insecurity is further exacerbated by the fact that he knows that nobody mourned for him and in fact everyone is much happier now that he's gone.

Milo Belladonna (Muse)

Milo is a grim reaper who doubles as a social media influencer, garnering a large following on most social media platforms, but especially Instagram and Twitter. They are very interested in fashion and beauty, and they love to encourage their friends and people around them in general to look into such topics themselves. They are profoundly in love with life and all its earthly pleasures as a death reaper and think the concept of being alive or even having a life to lose is something amazing that they somewhat envy seeing as they are basically unkillable.

As selfish as they may seem on the surface, their job is an inherently selfless act and they take great pride in it, taking a lot of comfort in being able to help people through what is likely the hardest and most painful thing they’ve always experienced.

Gender: Nonbinary Transmasc

Sawyer is a concubus, though they themself prefer the term fuckubus, finding the term concubus to be a bit too rigid sounding for their liking. Despite being a concubus, they like keeping a rather low profile and tends to be more on the introverted side, though not shy. While undeniably horny, they’re also a deeply sweet and kind person, caring for those close to them a great deal, though they enjoy a fair bit of alone time with chill music. However, as expected of their race as a concubus, Sawyer is sensitive to the needs of those around them and will try their best to meet those needs if they can.

Despite being nonbinary they still consider themself a horse girl, declaring there’s no use in trying the gender the love of one of nature’s most beautiful creatures and will gender themself if it’s funny (ie calling themself daddy, not like other girls, etc). They’re highly artistic and take pride in their grunge aesthetic though they try not to be too vain about it.
