Can’t believe I can fit this snug Mustad Angler shirt made from recycled plastic bottles! Wearing my old high school shorts as well. Took over a month but shook-off my Covid. Went shore jigging today. Got another decent sized White Trevally. Winds were howling so changed my shredded 20g green/gold Mustad Tracershot Jig for a new 25g Chartreuse. Everyday now I’m pulling in decent sized fish on Tracershots. They’re flutter style jigs that sink slowly. Got this around 60/70yd out in only a few feet of water. Used my 9’9” Guide Select Pro & Limited Edition GT Spinning Reel both by Okuma. 10lb Eminent Braid by Soft Steel. I needed this beefier rig for today as the winds were howling. Since I started jigging Mustad Jigs I’m now not loosing my leaders anymore like before when I used lead egg rigs. I haven’t lost a Tracershot yet. Almost everyday I’m throwing back fish. Mustad’s Tracershot Jigs. Made for shallow water usage. Sizes start at 1/2oz and up. I’m hooking up to more fish these past few months using Tracershots in the shallows as compared to using lead eggs with swivel, hook and grubs. Lead eggs drop too fast. I’ve lost countless lead egg rigs compared to loosing no Tracershots at all. Today I was easily getting up to 100yd casting only 20g on my new SST Travel A Rod. Wind was at my back. Without the wind I average 70yd. My friend Russel was with me this morning. Even he was impressed by the casting distance I’m getting casting these flutter styled jigs. The top jig lasted months of chipping teeth but I never lost it or had my line cut. Thank you Mustad USA! Another shore jigging day in the books. Used their 20g Tracershot from shore. Again. Been using the same golden/green jig for months now. Had a Cuda hit it the day before. This 1 jig has been snagging fish after fish for months. Threw this out around 70yd in a few feet of water to score this strike. The uglier the lure gets from all these hits the better it works? Really? Used my new 10’6” SST Travel Rod & ITX3000 Reel from Okuma filled with 10lb Eminent Braid for the win!
