mutiyon replied to your post: I'm really confused. You are an adult woman who...
idg the concerns about this tbh, your liking hairy celery doesn’t diminish your value as an intelligent badass female art blogger tho lol it’s just a singer/celeb without groundshaking scandals(?) so far so i mean im also an adult i read ridiculous cliche romance novels because they’re entertaining and uplifting when im on bad mood that’s not my person is all about lol
these people literally think that just because something is popular it means that it’s bad and that is exactly what a 12 year old would think ‘uuu i like only niche highbrow things because i’m so special’ like listen if you’ve heard harry styles solo work and decided it’s not for you great, if you don’t want to hear it because you think it wouldn’t be for you great again, just let others enjoy it. besides when it comes to celebrity crushes i’ve had worse.
harry styles (or at least his public persona) has proven nothing but a great human being who’s been polite and humble through rude interviews, who connects to his fans in a very special way, a genuinely funny and charismatic entertainer and a good singer with a lot of songwriting potential. he’s supporting the lgbt community by touring with muna (a self-defined ‘queer-girl’ band) and he’s defended his teenage girl fans through countless of condescending interviews. if you don’t want to like him because you’re a 50 year old man who hates one direction fine by me, just don’t come into my inbox telling me what and what not to like because there’s nothing that annoys me more than pretentious snobs
Thank you, my darling babes!! @mutiyon omg thanks, that is such an amazing compliment! I actually have very little arm muscle to speak of, but what I do have is from doing fencing practice all last year, and doing kyudo this year. I haven't done much of anything the past month or two because of school projects though. 😅
Ahhh also if you don't mind me asking another question. Seems Polish saber fencing has similar initial basic stance with Ukrainian Cossack fencing?
Sadly I never learnt much about the Ukrainian Cossack fencing! Don’t know how exactly the base stance looks like there to compare it with the Polish one. They could be similar because those techniques were developed alongside each other, and both were initially drawing from the same Tatar and Turkish sabre techniques.
'Crown Prince's Own Hussar Regiment' - "my hussar!" "no, mine!" "no, my own alone!"
And the prince is like:
i think he meant abortion lol
well i thought about that but in my naivity i supposed he couldn’t have meant abortion since…who the fuck aborts in the first week? most people don’t even know they’re pregnant in the first fucking week ffs
Hello Lamus Dworski, I notice in some hussar reenactment photos some hussars have full-face helmet and some others' helmet only have nose protector. What causes this helmet variation, is it the hussar's rank or just fashion? Thanks! ^^
Hello, the Hussars weren’t wearing any typical ‘full face’ helmets. In many helmets, particularly from the early 17th century, the nasal bar had simply an elaborate wide decoration that covered most of the face. The shape of the most typical decorative nasals is usually described as a ‘wide leaf’ or reverse 'ogee arch’ ('ośli grzbiet’) in the Polish sources. It was a movable part of the helmet and as far as I know most of those nasals could’ve been easily detached. The thinner nasal protection was of course also common. The Hussars weren’t exactly uniform and their whole armour shows a great range of idividuality: they were crafting, ordering and buying everything themselves. You might guess here that the simpler-looking armours belonged most likely to the less-wealthy individuals. There were also differences between helmets from the various regions of the Commonwealth. Hope it helps for a start!
I bet he smells like when you leave the laundry in the washer too long and it starts to smell moldy
