A WIP of a piece I started working on. It is Fingolfin and his hosts crossing the Helcaraxë. The outline is made out of nails, glued down one at a time. The space in between is going to be filled with paper flowers. Mixed among the flowers will be some snapdragon seed pods. Why? Well, they certainly look familiar don't they?
WIP of Feanor and Filgolfin, putting an end to the Great Enemy. Based on @antlered-vixen's absolutely phenomenal Feanor/Fingolfin fic "Light Splintered and Sewn". That latest chapter had me ugly crying and I wanted to share even before I fully finished the piece!
Finally got the fabric down! Just need to do the final processing phase before adding the head, but I think I'll let the brocade rest for a day or two see where there might be some lifting.
Fun fact... Brocade will chew up your scissors. Get microserrated snippers for brocade!
My current kimekomi project is coming along! Between my other work, I am making some good progress. I hope to finish this during the year of the snake haha
As I have mentioned before, I am new to stained glass. For this project, I wanted to work on my soldering. But to do that, I must first get better at cutting and trimming. After some research, I decided to give the vinyl sticker technique a try.
Already I feel more confident! Even with the wax coating, the marker lines always wash off when I'm at the grinder. This should help greatly. I will report back in a week or two when I am able to next get into the workshop.
Narsil is about 90% of the way done! I have to make some final adjustments. I an still trying to figure out the best way to display something like this. The walls of my workshop are rather full already.
I'm always open to suggestions for how best to display this thing! I reckon I should have it properly done in the next week or so. Then, I've got a Feanor piece in the pipeline!
Watercolor WIP. Working on a very Feanor/Fingolfin themed water color painting because @antlered-vixen's Light Splintered and Sewn has taken up permanent residence in my mind and heart.
Taking a small break from painting to work on a kimekomi doll. Here is hoping I actually get around to finishing it DURING the year of the snake haha
