12. Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?
It’s so cliche, but Claire. From the first person narrative- it’s always made it easy for me to get into her voice. Though, beside that point, she and I have very similar thought processes so the missing moments I feel drawn to write just tend to flow. I also love the complexity that she has being a modern woman in a time period that is not her own. Plus, she’s just a blunt says it like it is type of woman, like me, and I just really enjoy al facets of CB. (I also love writing Jaime though and digging into his mind as well.)
I also really love writing Bree.
17. Post a line from a WIP that you’re working on.
(Canon compliant missing moment from Drums headed to your dashes tomorrow morning!)
“It’s my job,” I said plainly. And it was, as a doctor, healer, whatever terminology one might consider it—it was my job, my calling to tend to the sick. Ian was family, and by some twisted scope John Grey was family, too. I had learned in my years family is both of blood relation and those you chose—and while I had most definitely had not chosen John, he had wormed his way in I had just come to accept it.
29. Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like?
Honestly, I think all writers do. I think for me, my biggest one would be Time After Time. It’s definitely a different sort of fic with a character who is not all that developed in the canon yet- so it’s just all my own interpretations and head canons…. It’s not always everyone’s cup of tea. But it’s a whole lot of fun to write!
