Mfw, she wanna take you for a ride.
MVC5 should have Pinkypool JUST because >:). Ideally, her Capcom rival would be Tiffany Lords from Rival Schools, I need to draw that.
Some details I am admiring about UMVC3's Wesker animations:
Wesker has purple stink lines constantly emanating from him. Bad kimochi, or unwashed puddy? You decide. In Resident Evil 5, he only has black smoke surrounding him when he's doing his runs. The purple is an interesting choice.
2. He does this little kung fu warm-up flourish before his Rhino Charge super. Gotta stretch the wrists before you rip out their heart. This isn't a flourish that I recognize as transposed from Resident Evil 5. Really emphasizes that Wesker's fighting style is formal martial arts to match his intentionally manufactured and composed nature. Versus Jill's "feral stance" or Chris's brute force punching + wrestling moves.
3. Lost in Nightmares super. Again with the martial arts flourish cutscene before the actual animation. More purple associated with Wesker in this game, though usually his associated color is indigo blue. And of course, gotta love the entire missile being thrown. This version of Wesker throwing a missile is much more cinematic and stylized than RE5's version, I like it a lot!
4. You know I gotta do it to 'em with the chikyo chagi axe kick. Cute little chokeslam to call back to what he does to Chris in the RE5 DLC, chokeslams are VERY villain coded moves in wrestling. Usually reserved for the wrestlers who are over 6'7", like Tyrant sized dudes. But hey, Wesker at 6'3" is tall enough to be able to flex over Chris with his heel tactic.
5. And of course, the axe kick. It shows complete control over one's own body to be able to hold a stiff pose for that long, and you know Wesker's all about control. It's also extremely cunty to show how far you can stretch your loins, and then step on your enemy's loins. Really glad that this is one of Wesker's signature moves in 90% of the games he's in. It's such a cute little encapsulation of his strange disciplined-yet-showboating personality.
God I love Haggar
He lets me Steel Pipe and Lariat my enemies into a bloody coma (ദ്ദി˙ᗜ˙)
