Hi do u wanna know a hilarious Daria thing. A couple years ago they called me having a breakdown because they got mad at their guardians for taking their computer or some shit so to get back at them they pissed on a rug or the carpet or something and didn’t know how to clean it and were freaking out. And now my whole friend group calls her pissrug. She got mad and just. Pissed on the floor. Knowing her was like watching a car crash

I was talking to Sierra, we're mutuals on Insta we met through a fan illustration I did for S2E8. She is an artist who worked on the show and was actually in the first scene of the finale.

We agreed we were both sad it was over, and I finally put into words the feeling the series gave me. I felt this way throughout the last three years of watching, and I could never say until now what that feeling is.

Rez Dogs felt like a home I've always known and a home I never got to have at the same time. It's a good feeling.

It's comforting and nostalgic while also getting to see the life I never got to have. My family assimilated a few generations ago.

My great-grandmother (mom's mom's mom) white passing (Choctaw/Cherokee + Persian Jew) and my grandfather is Cherokee. My mom is the only brown grandchild because my great-grandmothers other kids married the whitest fucking people you'll ever meet. My mom was mistreated over it, racist bitches. As if they aren't mixed.

Mom tried her best to learn her culture but she didn't have many resources back then and she didn't know how to meet with people and learn.

I wish for her she had had access to our tribe growing up. She wouldn't have been so alone. And maybe she could have found home.

I hope I can find my way back home.
