Out of spite with any ship of your choice!
This wasn't the first or the worst party Min-Gi's been to, but it was certainly one of the more obnoxious ones. Trust fund babies sloshing around drinks and falling on their faces wasn't exactly his idea of fun. However, Ryan knew someone here who had new amps that he wanted to pick up. The only problem was his timing, as he visited in the midst of a party and he was taking forever to get back to Min.
"So Mr. Min," a blond girl slurred between drinks. "What do you do for a living?"
Min grimaced as she nearly spilled her drink on him. "I'm in a band." Snickers littered the group. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing, nothing, it's just," a guy in a varsity jacket said. "You just don't look the part."
"Really? And what does the part look like?" Min stood to his full height, glare full of daggers. The more time the band spend on the road, the less Min gave a shit what people thought about it. Still, he felt inclined to stand up for himself.
"Sure as hell ain't khaki pants," the guy snorted, clinking drinks with his friends. "More like...him!" He pointed, and the entire group turned to a person in the sea of the party.
"Oooh, what a bad boy!" the blond girl whistled. "He's got the leather jacket, great hair, and look at how he walks! Now that's a rock star."
Min looked in the same direction and took a sip from his drink. He was starting to get annoyed, and thought maybe there was a way to get back at them for their rude behavior.
"I bet you $100 I could get his number."
Everyone stared at him, and then burst out into mean laughter.
"You're really sweet, but if anyone's his type, it's me," the girl bragged.
"Then bet on it. I'll give you two minutes," Min said coolly. He pulled out his wallet and held up the remaining $100 bill. "Unless you think you can't do it."
A low 'oooh' rang throughout the group. The girl slunk up to him, smirk crossing her face. "Watch and learn." And she stalked off.
"This is one bet you're gonna lose," another guy whispered to Min. He watched as the girl chatted with the guy. He seemed mainly polite with her, dodging whenever she tried to get too close.
"TIMES UP!" the group shouted, and she walked back in defeat.
"I bet if I had more time I could have done it," the girl said defensively.
"Yeah, well," Min pocketed his money. "Let me try." The girl shuffled through her pockets to collect a greasy mass of bills, bowing dramatically to let him take the floor. Min walked straight towards the guy, waiting until he was next to him to tap his shoulder.
Ryan smiled. "Min-Gi! There you are," he said happily. He reached for a hug, but Min held him by the shoulders. He frowned. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, I was thinking." Min licked his lips. "Why don't we go out to dinner tonight? Somewhere nice. I think we should celebrate being a band for so long."
The smile returned. "I'd love that."
"Cool, I'll meet you at the car." And with that, Min swept down for a kiss. Ryan was startled for a second, but melted into the embrace as his arms wrapped around him. When Min pulled away, Ryan's lips were parted slightly. They then split into a wide grin as he quickly ran to get the car.
Min turned back to the group. Everyone's jaw dropped, but the girl's was practically to the floor. He strided back with a wide smirk on his face, practically skipping. "Thank youuuuu," he said as he snatched the money from her hand without looking back. He quickly found the van, and slid into the passenger's seat.
"So, where are we going?" Ryan asked, giddy.
"Anywhere you want, Ry." Min held up the money proudly. "I'm paying."
