I think the thing about saucy ink is that both Pepper and Tate do the jobs they do bc it's how they connect with and show care towards people, but they're both such dicks no one realizes it.

Pepper is a chef because she enjoys providing hospitality and comfort via food, but she gets angry when Tate accuses her food of having the opposite effect. Tate is a tattoo artist because she likes helping people express themselves via body art, yet gets angry when Pepper isn't shy about expressing her disdain towards her. And round and round in circles they go

Writers cannot watch a movie normally. we are sitting there going "oh that's the inciting incident" and "they introduced that object too early it's obviously coming back" and "this dialogue is doing three things at once good for them" while everyone else is just. watching the movie. having a normal experience. feeling feelings without labelling them. i envy that so much and i would never give it up.

i think people really under sell the physical side effects of mental health disorders sometimes. like sure the depression and anxiety may be 'just in your head' but when what's in your head happens to disrupts your sleep schedule and prevent you from going outside regularly and eating consistent meals and exercising and generally taking care of your body. well it sure takes its toll huh.
