          IT’S AS IF he’s looking into a mirror. The way his brother thrashes in his sleep and the way he has sweat running down his face. Everything about it is all too familiar, but he can’t leave Sam like that. His own nightmares are too DEVASTATING at times and he knows just how CRIPPLING they can be. With a swift movement he goes to shove his brother awake. Many times he didn’t have anyone to wake him from his own nightmares. Most times his nightmares were a REALITY he couldn’t escape from. “Sam... Sam hey. Wake up. You’re having a nightmare. You okay?”

Another episode and Sam was bed ridden for another week, without much warning. Still, Dean brought his brother a glass of water and set it on the bedside table, sitting on the edge of his mattress with a faint grin. “You look like shit,” he mumbled, eyes a bit distant. “How’re you feelin’?”
