He drummed a beat against the wooden table with his yellow pencil, his foot following the rhythm steadily. There was a party going on somewhere. With upperclassmen, weed, alcohol and the promise of a tomorrow full of headaches and regrets. He could feel it. And he ached to be there. Alex groaned stopping his solo and letting his face fall between the pages of the dusty library book. 

"I can't believe that this is how I'm going to spend my weekend." His head turned, cheek pressed against the cool pages of sentences he had been looking over for half an hour now. At least this could give him some relief. Sighing in self pity he sat up to look at his study partner.
