Boston Lobster + MA Headcanons
i’m kicking off the list of imagines with one of my favs from the game. this tragic boy is absolutely 100% my type after hearing his lines and reading his locked story, pls send help....
Despite the contract, initially, you’re still worried about his unpredictable nature. He did try and kill you, after all.
Surprisingly, he ends up hovering over you constantly while simultaneously acting like you’re about as far beneath him as a bug under his shoe. The mixed signals are completely infuriating and often lead to the two of you arguing constantly if you choose to keep him on your main team.
If you don’t and you’re gone for a long time without him, be prepared for a lecture how long you were gone.
“Why are you back so late? Didn’t I tell you not to run around all over the place?”
The first time he pulled you close to him with one of his claws you were terrified. The angry look on his face turned into a smirk as he realized the power he had, towering over you and backing you up to the wall.
His icy, arrogant demeanor becomes more protective the longer you two are together. Though he acts angry and overbearing, you know he’d do anything to protect you now that you are closer and have accepted him.
He still has nightmares about what happened, thrashing so loudly you find him in a fitful sleep, sheets twisted around his body. He makes you swear to tell no one when he wakes up to find you asleep on top of the sheets next to him, realizing you holding him the night before wasn’t just a dream.
His antennae are very sensitive you find out one day. He doesn’t like a lot of physical contact (because it makes him overheat), but will sometimes put his head in your lap and let you run your hands through his hair if no one else is around. He turns nearly as red as his claws when you see his reaction, getting up and storming out of the room before you can comment.
He doesn’t like any of the more flirty souls around you. It doesn’t matter how precious or important you tell him he is, he scoffs at you and glares menacingly at anyone except the younger souls that try and touch you.
Sometimes he flirts with you, but you’re pretty sure it's only to make you feel uncomfortable, right? Right???
Then one day you wake up to him shirtless and thrashing everything in sight. Things have been going pretty good between you guys lately, no major arguments, so you're not sure whats going on and cautiously reach out a hand to touch his face, brushing the sweaty hair matted to his forehead out of the way.
“I… feel different. Something’s changed,” he heaves out, hands gripping your shoulders. His gaze is locked with yours, red eyes feverish. “You. It’s because of you, Master Attendant. You’ve changed me.”
If you ever tell him you love him, he’ll just scoff and tell you he’s not worthy of being loved and you’re wasting your time with him, but he doesn’t shy away from your touch anymore. He might not say it out loud, but he’s secretly happy to have someone who truly cares for him again.
None of the other food souls are happy about the two of you being so close, except the fact that it has greatly calmed down his fiery demeanor.
