Hey Everyone!

I’m sorry I haven’t been on tumblr for a while (my laptop hasn’t been working), and I’m gonna tell you now - I’ve missed it. I feel a great sense of community in the Queen/Borhap fandom, and it always makes me happy when I see that someone has added a new post to it. 

I probably won’t be on as often as I used to be, but that doesn’t mean I don’t see what you guys are up to! I love being tagged in all writing for the Borhap/ Queen fandom - blurbs, headcannons, fics, etc. So please, even if I’m not on your list, please start tagging me in any writing you do! 

I get notifications about it in my emails, so I still read them all the time - it makes my day when I see part 4 of my favourite Joe fic has been released, or if I see a blurb about Brian teaching guitar! 

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. If you’re not, talk to someone - there are plenty of people out there who care for you. Just pick up the phone, send a text or even write a letter if you feel like it. But most importantly, we need to remain positive.

I just realized that some people who follow this account might not follow my Main and thus have no idea what’s been going on.

My bad guys. Sorry. 

Anyway, my computer crashed last week. No amount of in-home rebooting or restarting would work and the technician that came by to look at it ultimately had to take the whole thing to his office and wipe everything. 

Looks like the latest Windows update caused quite a few computers to, uh, not recognize the operating system? Thats the best i can describe it. And that resulted in computers getting stuck in a restarting loop.

But i have it back now. Lost some software that i didn’t have backed up, like Microsoft Office and Paint tool sai. I usually draw pictures in Sai, but I have Clip Studio re-installed so I’ll just need to figure out how to draw pics in there (i usually use it for comic pages), plus my Photoshop.

BTW, I’m looking to open commissions. I’m in a bad place financially; running down to my last hundred bucks and i’m desperately scraping every penny i can for foods. The tech repairs obv don’t help but i’ve let the company know (after a declined card) that i’ll pay them as soon as i can. -_-;;

As far as I know, I’m not in danger of losing my housing cuz i rent from my mom and she’s not going to kick me out, but she’ll add to the stress in her own way. Mostly im worried about bills and food. Esp foods. My bro has picked up the slack best he can on bills, but I’ve always been in charge of food.

Yeah learning fandom things! :D

I (obviously) adore learning anything related to the history of transformative works, including when and how our language develops. You don’t realize how much the terminology provides—both intentional and unintentional—gatekeeping until you speak/write as a fan with someone not immersed in that culture, let alone a specific fandom with their own language attached. Even something as presumably straightforward as “shipping” has a broad-stroke history of: 

‘Relationship’ becomes the basis for ‘relationshippers’ (thanks, X-Files)

Which gets cut down to ‘shippers’ 

Which turns into the verb ‘ship’ 

Which starts pulling from those nautical definitions, resulting in communication like this 

We all know the Jack GIF isn’t here to describe a literal boat. 

All of which is gonna get you a “Wait what?” from anyone who doesn’t hear that word on the daily and hasn’t stopped questioning how strange it might sound.
