To be fair Reinhardt probably couldn’t even beat another cis man at being a woman. Reinhardt isn’t toxic masculinity macho man but he’s such a dude. That is the guy you met at Uni who is outrageously talented yet nice to everyone and so completely comfortable in himself that the idea of being defensive over your masculinity is genuinely baffling to him. Reinhard is the type of guy who would hear about Natsumi Schwartz and go "Ah, I don't quite understand how you feel about this, since I don't feel the same, but I support anything that makes you happy" and proceed to confuse the hell out of Natsumi just at the idea of someone NOT wanting to be a woman and NOT thinking that being a woman is just "obviously the better choice"
