I was called rude yesterday. Twice. I've been called mean. I've been called arrogant. I've been called a dick. Whatever. It's funny to me, because I think I'm too nice. I'm not changing for anyone. I'm too far passed caring what others think. If you don't like it, I'm not holding a gun to your head. If you don't like it, chances are I didn't want you around in the first place. If you don't like it, well, honestly I don't know what to tell you. You're not the first. Definitely won't be the last. I know what matters. And fortunately, I know that you don't. I know who matters. Because they don't mind. What you call rude, mean, or arrogant, they call me. What you get offended at and scoff at, they call me. I'm me. I'm not special. I'm not an illness. And I'm never going to let you stop me from being me. What you point out as negative in me, I see as insecurity in you. If something is easy, why do you do it? If making history was easy, wouldn't everyone be a legend? If living out your dreams was easy, wouldn't everyone be happy? I'm always going to be me. I will never stop being me. Why? Because being me will never be easy. It will never get boring. The challenge will never stop. Call it what you have to so you don't lose sleep at night. Be as caustic as you need to, to make yourself feel a little less empty. I'll be here tomorrow, trust me. And the day after, and the day after, and probably the day after, cheesin'. I won't be able to hear you over the sound of my own laughter. I'll be here until it's over. I'll be on this grind until it's over. I'll be me until it's over. So what did I say? What do I say? What will I say? Let them hate.
