Oh no. That one (1) compliment from my lecturer 8 years ago on my use of a semicolons in my analysis on picasso's weeping woman, before sharing my work as an example for other students, clearly went to my head.

I should just keep a shock pen on my desk that i administer every time i use a semicolon. Reading my later scenes feels like bunny hopping a manual car. I clearly just replaced my oxford commas.
