The was beautiful. Sky was blue and clear, with a few scattered white, puffy clouds here and there; the breeze was cool and light as the ocean was calm and still. It was a total contrast to what had happened these past few days.
The storm had settled and it was pretty bad, but luckily the small town near the fishing district were alerted and everyone made sure to protect their home, businesses and anything else that needed to be saved.
Rin stood at the beach near his home, luckily for him, his modest little cabin didn’t suffer too much damages; but he did have to clean a bit since some trees fell and there were debris from the beach in his yard. But other than that, he was really lucky that everything he owned (which wasn’t much) was intact. So when the weather cleared, and he cleaned up his property before heading towards his secluded area of the beach where he would go to fish.
No one knew about this area, there were plenty of fishes and it was easy for him to catch them since he was a fisherman, of course. Just like his father and his father before him. It wasn’t a lavish lifestyle but he was happy and he loved being in the water so life was good.
The redhead walked towards where his small boat and large net were located, inspecting them to see if they were damaged, and again, he was lucky that they weren’t before starting to work. As he pushed the boat into the water, he turned to grab his net but froze when after pulling onto it, it felt heavy. Part of the fishing net was in the water so he didn’t see what he had ‘caught’, so he began to pull and pull before suddenly he could see a large lump covered in seaweeds and other debris. Rin blinked and wondered if he caught something during the storm, so he went to check it out.
