Get Weird in July day 5 - something bizarre my pet does
Not sure he does anything “bizarre” - but ever since he was a puppy, he wants to go to bed about 10 o’clock at night. Nobody ever taught him that or enforced a “lie down and be quiet” time, but he just naturally wants to go to bed.
If we’re not ready to go to bed at that time, he’ll sit down nearby and look at one of the adults reproachfully until we make some indication of heading to bed. If this persists too long, he’ll lie down on the floor near us and sleep, and when we get up to go to bed, he'll do so too.
He has a bed and blankie but sometimes he’ll shove his bed under Josiah’s bed and sleep on the floor next to it. And he won’t sleep for the night in any other room but Josiah’s unless everyone is gone, then he’ll sleep in our room next to my side of the bed.
Oh, maybe this other thing, too. He doesn’t even bother chasing our chickens. And if we take him for a walk and other dogs bark at him (even in a threatening manner), he’ll just glance at them and then go on about his business, like they’re not worth his time.
