I talked about this in the tags of an ask but did anyone else notice how understandably off-kilter Poppy was after we leave Sweet Street?
She turns to face the player, but doesn't seem to see Giblet as she does so. It's just a complete thousand yard stare, like she's not processing what's in front of her yet.
And once that shard chips off, she just looks so lost.
Even after Giblet tries to comfort her, it still takes a second for her to realize someone's talking to her and for her to look up. God, and even after Giblet takes the shard from her, she still seems to think she's holding it
She's still in shock from what happened.
The music in the scene reflects it too. At first, it's this quiet, almost sort of droning sound. But when Poppy finally looks up at Giblet, a broken version of her theme starts playing, like she was disassociating and recognizing Giblet is what shook her back to reality.
