My Suffering
That house,
How shall I describe it?
Maybe, the house of torture
Or the house of pain.
It is my cause of suffering.
Gave me depression
When I least expected it.
Made me not recognize myself...
If I could go back
And erase those years from my memory,
I would gladly do that
To save my life and myself right now.
But this is real life
Where the stakes are higher,
And nothing can be undone,
No matter how much we regret.
Living with scars of the past,
Traumas in our head,
Unforgettable pain,
Everlasting torture,
I say, "I wanna escape,"
But this house is my only shelter
I say, "I wanna leave those people"
Who have become my worst enemies.
Isn't one supposed to feel safe at home?
Then why does mine make me feel depressed?
Is it normal to not wanna come back home
Everyday, after work and school?
Is it normal to feel so homeless
When you've got roof on top of your head,
Your head on your bed,
The chosen food on the table,
And some old clothes in your closet?
I know I'm supposed to be grateful—
To see the good and overlook the negative,
But I'm still living in pain
Because of this house of torture.
I run away from my suffering,
But I always seem to find my way back to it.
I wander around in the realms of this world,
To find a place to call home...
