Agree with everything here, and I'm someone who enjoys both ya and adult fiction lol. But I have to ask.. what's the magical vampire pregnancy witch twins stuff? I had watched the first 3-4 seasons? I think?? I know some of what happened later in in the show but this sounds ridiculously funny lol.

anyway, you asked so: basically alaric comes back to life in S6 after being a ghost in 4/5 and gets engaged to this witch named jo (that we don’t know is a witch until a point) who’s also the twin of kai ie the big bad of that season blah blah blah I’ll spare you the details but basically the S6 finale was a rehashed red wedding where alaric and jo (who’s pregnant with twins) were supposed to get married but kai shows up and kills her in front of alaric during the ceremony, NOOOWWWWWWW S7... weeeeellllll basically candice accola was pregnant at the time so they figured LET’S MAKE IT PART OF CAROLINE’S STORY but since vampires can’t get pregnant... turns out that MAGICAL SHIT HAPPENS and since the twins are MAGICAL WANNABE WITCHES they automatically teleport themselves to the nearest suitable uterus which happens to be caroline’s and so basically she ends up... being... the surrogate mother of alaric’s magical twins while she’s at the same time gotten with stefan so she’s suddenly pregnant with another dude’s children which aren’t even technically hers and then it spiraled a honestly ridiculous sl where she and stefan broke up blah blah and she and alaric got together for the kids and were about to marry but then shit happens and she and stefan make up and get back together years later and that’s without going into how any plot point related to these girls was honestly trashy as hell and how since that point on poor caroline didn’t have one nice thing going for herself because julie plec hated her but kljgklklsdjgjlks basically that storyline was so trashy I was just staring at the screen WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA but yeah here you go
