speaking of masks I don’t think I ever posted mine:
this is a “muta” mask, a mute mask— it has no ribbon to tie it to your head, and instead has a button attached to the inside. You must hold the button in your mouth to wear it, and thus can’t speak. it’s a plain mask with eyeholes, an ill-defined nose shape, and no other features.
this specific muta mask was made by a professional maskmaker in Florence who worked around the corner from my apartment. he is a very kind and wonderful man with incredible talent. I wish I had photos of his whole store to show you the intricate designs he made, but you had to pay for pictures :’)
