This sounds dumb, but one of the main reasons I keep trying in life is because I want a little coffee bar like this and a cozy living room where my friends can come over and relax :)
“But I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go” - Song of Solomon 3:4, KJV
As my summer vacation comes to a close I decided it’s time to properly introduce my new relationship. I’ve hinted at it for a while, I’ve mentioned him in passing, but it’s time he gets proper recognition. Since June 10th, 2026 I’ve been dating T🧸. He’s my light, my heart, my life, my love, and my future with him is being constructed by God as we speak. I’m beyond blessed and thankful to have him in my life.
When I say he’s one in a zillion I mean it, he is a gem of a man and person. I legitimately thought he was a bot at first because he was so different from every man I’ve ever interacted with or dated. He has a heart for God, a compassion for everyone around him, a giving heart, a happiness and calmness that’s contagious, and, most surprisingly, a love for me…which is something I’ve never experienced before.
More below cut 💜
The beginning of my summer started with a nasty breakup with my ex you guys may remember me mentioning, D. He became neglectful, selfish, and emotionally abusive. He only cared about himself and his needs and wants. The breakup with him, truthfully, was worse than the breakup with my first abusive ex. I spent weeks crying, thinking my life was over because I was so sure God wanted me to be with him, but in the end, I’ve realized God let me feel so strongly for him because it led me to my T.
Had I not gone through that heartbreak I would not be here, and I would not change the course of events for anything. On the very night D broke up with me, June 9th, 2026, after getting back together and breaking up with me about half a dozen times, I made the decision to download a Christian dating app. At first I tried one and I wasn’t feeling it, so I looked up another. It wasn’t as well known or fancy, but it changed everything.
On June 10th at 6 in the morning, I made the account and T reached out to me within a few hours of my being on the app. At 8:39 he said, “Hi Violet. I like how you’re comfortable with yourself. God and quirkiness are always great.” Why did he say that? Because I’d listed in my profile that I’d know if a relationship was the one if my partner could accept me quirks and all…the quirks? Being neurodivergent. The exact thing that made D run.
T asked me what I meant by quirks so I straight up told him about my neurodivergence, and he was so understanding and accepting, and even though I was cautious I knew then that God had placed him in my life for a reason. I fought it tooth and nail for the next week until I meet him in person on June 19th and he treated me to a wonderful day together. At the end he kissed me and it was like sparks, tunnel vision, all the things.
Upon getting home, I told my parents about him and they were not happy. They thought he was another loser like all the others. But I told him and he was right there to lift me up, and together we developed a game plan to get him in their good graces. As we crafted our plan, I finally realized I needed to submit to God’s will and let this relationship happen.
God wasn’t tearing us apart, He was just getting started on building us up. He met my irl best friend and her son the next Monday, he came to my church and met my parents the week after that, he came to our home and spent the 4th of July with us the week and my extended family after that…and he’s been coming to church with me and spending the weekends with me and my family since then. My family loves and accepts him wholeheartedly as well now.
We are not perfect together, no couple is perfect, but we are learning and growing together with God’s guidance each day. Our bond is growing stronger because we truly are connected. We think alike, we can read each other, we have so many similarities in upbringings and beliefs it’s uncanny. And this was so eloquently expressed in how we first shared I Love Yous.
This past Saturday, July 18th, 2026, we went to our favorite spot to hang out. I had decided I was going to tell T I loved him earlier in the week by sharing a Bible verse about love, the one I picked was:
“But I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go” - Song of Solomon 3:4, KJV
I was too nervous to read it so I let him read it from my Bible, after he read it I looked at him and said “I have found him whom my soul loveth.” He immediately went mute, but only for a second then was on autopilot talking fast and giving me a gift bag. He told me to open the gift and I found this beautiful set of doves, it represents him watching over me and sheltering me, as I looked at it and told him it was beautiful he pulled out a card to give to me.
I’m fairly certain he’d had it in his shirt pocket all day because I knew I’d felt something there (we are very touchy feely okay 😆). I looked at it confused, thinking it was just a regular card with a message from him, I mean as soon as I took it out it looked like that. It was simple, a thank you note.
But the second I opened it, it said this:
I immediately said his name and started crying, then everything was pulled from my hands, and I’m fairly certain we both lost some brain cells during an oxygen deprived make out session 😆. But it was worth it. Neither of us knew the other was going to say it, but we said it at the same time, we are that in synch because God is guiding our relationship.
And now…our eyes are on the future. We’re looking at homes together, we’ve found one we love and are hoping that it can be ours, we’re jokingly talking about future kids together, we’re planning our lives together. It’s fast, it’s not what I intended to happen, but it’s real and I can’t wait for the future that we’re going to make together with God’s grace leading the way.
So that all probably explains my quietness on this blog, the last 9 weeks have been some of the hardest and greatest of my life, and I would not change a single second of it because it brought me to the man I’ve waited for my whole life.
I’ve finally found the Zach to my Varmitech…just a tanner version of him… 😆. Any posts regarding T and our relationship will be tagged #t 🧸! Thank you to everyone for your care, support, and patience during this wild time in my life 💜!
