Well that's too fucking bad because it's happening.

And you're just gonna have to get the fuck over it or don't watch the movie.

Ya know I really do get why most some of you are mad,but y'all haven't even seen the goddamn movie yet!

All the movies depicting mermaids are white. Which is sad because the actual myth of mermaids came from africa and africans. Research the orisha goddess yemaya-mother of fish.

I Have been connected to the sea in such a deep level for as long as i can remember. There is no where else on earth that brings me peace as much being by the waves, being submerged.

It suprising how angry some people are that halle is the new ariel for this live action.

white people have soooo many white princess. Black people literally have one, Tiana and shes a freaking frog for most of the movie. Or that one cinderalla movie that came out in 1997.

Representation is so important for the youth. As a child, there was little if at all any princess who looked like me. And still till this day. People dont understand how that affects a subconscious mind, especially that of a developing child.

So fuck you, racists. Grow the fuck up. Learn some fucking compassion, we are all brothers and sisters that were born of the sea.

Im so glad that my niece and all the little girls who look like me with sun kissed brown skin, and curly hair that reaches for the stars can finally have a princess that looks like them.

The truth is the original mermaid was black. The myth was taken from us, like so many other things, trying to destroy and erase our history and make it their own just like jesus, and the pyramids and antlantis. Just let us have our Orishas back. Let us honor our history and our ancestors.
