(When I first read this I read it as 'list your least favourite fics' and actually I think that would've been easier 😂)

I found this quite difficult because I dislike rereading my own work because even when I like it I inevitably find things I would change or improve, and my favourite fics are always the ones I'm currently working on where the brainworms are active, so I'm gonna ask myself some different questions to figure out some answers 😅

My favourite fic to write is probably S.A.N.T.A. BABY. I had such fun with it, and every time I came up with a new idea of how to include yet another prompt it just ramped up my excitement

The tale I'm most proud of is KNOCK AT THE CABIN. It's the fic with the most actual 'story' that I've attempted (and it's still not done) but it has been an extremely enjoyable challenge

My hottest fic [for me currently] is GOOD THINGS (Come in Threes), but most of my Eddie Munson series are stuffed with filth that people seem to enjoy 😄

The fic I found most challenging is The Essence of You. It contains a lot of emotive subjects, which I relished exploring, and remains the longest thing I've written to a deadline it actually broke me for a little while and taught me that I don't thrive under that kind of pressure

The one that's most uniquely 'me' is HELLO, STRANGER. It was the first long story I ever shared, contains a lot of 'me', and AFAIK it's a fairly unique premise and unusual crossover

Honorable mention must also go to my Steddie microfics. I've explored so many different themes and tones with these that I probably wouldn't have tackled otherwise, and I wish I could flesh out a lot of them into full fics but sadly as is true for so many of us Real Life (and my writing speed) preclude it

Hi hon! Thank you for the ask, and I hope everything is going well with you. I've written quite a bit since I first started, but below are my top five of what I have written as of right now.

Finding Hope in You - Series (ongoing)

Summary: After your husband died on one of the supply runs Tommy had organized, leaving you and your 5-year-old daughter, Emma, alone, you didn’t know what to do with yourself. When Joel settles down in Jackson with Ellie after their trip to the Fireflies, then as a favor to Maria, he meets Emma and you while you introduce Ellie and him through Jackson.

'Till it Sticks: Part Two (I loved writing all three, but Two is my favorite)

Summary: After finding you were pregnant with Joel's baby, the two of you couldn't be happier, after the nights you spent trying. And as time goes on, Joel finds himself head-over-heels with how your body has changed to provide for their baby. And though you don't find yourself as attractive as before, he'll make sure you know that he loves and is feral over every single part of you.

Ride Him Rough

Summary: For the last week and a half, Joel has been busy working himself to the bone to get ration cards for the deal he was trying to make with some people through the QZ. This left you feeling hornier by the day, and usually, he'd be able to fuck it right out of you. But now that he's busy again, you decided to take matters into your own hands, unaware that he comes back earlier than expected.

His Girl

Summary:You and Joel used to be in a situationship, but because of the differences between the two of you, you had to put things to an end. Now, you were seen with another man, Jason, and Joel doesn't like seeing what's his with someone else.

Ghosts of a Past - Series (ongoing)

Summary: Victoria was a sweet girl growing up. But that innocence was slowly stripped away but one of the people she was supposed to trust the most. Her father. When she was a teen, she had to protect her sister, Valarie, from her father’s treatment. But when she meets Joel, things began taking a turn for the worst, and one day, Victoria and her family leave Texas behind. Now, over twenty years passed since Joel and Victoria last spoke. The sweet girl he knew grew up to become cold, indifferent, and a smuggler. A decently known one, and when her and Joel cross path’s again, the two butt heads on their trip to bring Ellie to the fireflies. And when they find out they knew each other, maybe things will change.

I've had fun revisiting lovely vids all month, so thank you very much for following along! The last prompt on the meme is to recommend a vid of my own. I've got 35 vids on AO3 at the moment, so I'm just going to pick five that I'm particularly proud of or pleased with.

Edward Hardwicke has been my favorite Watson since I first encountered him at the age of 10, but I'd never seen any vid devoted to him or the particular qualities he brought to his partnership with Jeremy Brett. So here's a small tribute to what these two created onscreen (AO3 link):

I liked the fairytale feeling and sound of this song -- facing impossible task after impossible task, exhausted but still dreaming about one day finding peace with the one you love. Neither the song nor the show ultimately fulfilled that hope, but it did offer them both their own moments of truth, and therein lay the beauty. In general I appreciated the way the song invited an eye towards the lovely images sprinkled throughout a show where it would be easy to focus on the horror instead (AO3 link):

My Heart's Red Muscle - (E, for one smut scene) I think this is probably my best fic, and also one of the longest. Cyborg!Waxer has no memories of his life before he came online. Paired with ARF trooper Boil, who doesn't seem to know what to do with him, Waxer has no idea how to fit in among clones when he's so very different. As he makes connections with those around him, he and Boil try to figure out who he might have been—and more importantly, who he is now.

Kinktober 2022 - (E, obviously) Set in the giant Open Skies AU. Where's that Trojan Horse smut post... Yeah so the fic is basically this for Waxer/Boil 😂

We Could Breathe Underwater - (T) What if shiny Waxer and Boil were both a bit Force-sensitive, and—oopsie, created a Force bond?

Interference - (T) Set in the RCAU/Open Skies AU, but it can be read as a standalone. It follows some OCs and canon characters as they figure out what Krell is up to on Umbara. The problem is that Torrent Company and Waxer's platoon are already on a collision course...

Fading Light and Cooling Space - (T, but heed the tags on this one) After Boil suffers through the horrifying events on Umbara, something nudges him to steal a strange necklace from Krell's body that teleports him to an even stranger place (and time?).

The last two fics are a bit older, so I'm sure they have a lot of room for technical improvement, but I still like them overall.

The Taste of Truth (ACD Holmes, 25K words) Set in December 1893, when "The Final Problem" hit the news-stands. Watson discovers that Holmes faked his own death -- and has been lying to Watson for years.

Christmas on the Hotspur (Hornblower, 1.5K) A little bit of Christmas fluff. Also available as a podfic by Liliana (8 minutes).

Robe of Misrule (Hornblower, 3K) Christmas genderfuckery (and genderfucking!) With gorgeous fanart by @chiropteracupola.

Holocene Park (Elementary, 25K) Adventure casefic starring dinosaurs under the streets of New York. Come for the cracky premise; stay for the earnest feelings. If I'm remembered for one thing in Elementary fandom, I hope it will be this.

Desperate Men and Fools (ACD Holmes, 11K) Western AU in which Doc and Lock's partnership is tested to its limits. Don't let the crossover put you off; this reads perfectly well as a stand-alone. One of my favorite things I've ever written.
