The Tea Party is still out there

I’m writing regarding the Aug. 27 article, “Tea Party down in popularity.”

Is it any wonder? With every pro-Obama Administration entity in the country labeling Tea Party supporters as extreme, rabble-rousing, rabid, evil-minded terrorists that they (you) report that there is less support for the Tea Party.

It is inevitable that the country may be seeing less support for so maligned a movement with the continual critical publicity being spread about the Tea Party philosophy. You may be seeing less support for the formal Tea Party organizations and unorganized leadership of “the Tea Party,” but those of us who have supported the basic Tea Party philosophy of fiscal and taxing discipline are still out here and still dedicated to not spending money you do not have. If President Obama’s only solution to the increasingly desperate economic climate is more spending of money the country does not have and additional borrowing, you will see a strong and resurgent Tea Party.
